We are delighted that you had another 5-star worthy stay at Scout's Retreat, and we will look forward to seeing you again! Thank you for choosing Natural Retreats.
Great home away from home! We will stay here again for sure. Clean, beautifully appointed, well stocked kitchen and a quiet location that’s close to downtown. Natural Retreats was also very attentive.
Beautiful cabin with an abundance of deer just outside the home
The cabin was clean and really nice. There was plenty of room for our family if 7. Downtown Whitefish is just minutes from the house with shopping and food and glacier national park was a short drive away.
Great place for 8 people to stay. Lots of room and beautiful property.

Hi, Sara. We are delighted that Scout's Retreat had the perfect layout for your group. It was our pleasure to host you in Whitefish, and we hope to welcome you back soon!
The place was perfect for us. Sister stayed with us week one. Daughter week two. Everyone had their own floor. Great amenities. Great location. Very private. We could even walk to the lake and downtown Whitefish. Glacier only 30 miles away. Very thankful. Great management group.

We are pleased you enjoyed your getaway to Whitefish and your stay at Scout's Retreat! We hope to see you again; thank you for choosing Natural Retreats.
Our stay was great and we enjoyed the house. There were two important things to mention. The coffee maker literally takes 2 hours to make a full pot of coffee, there was a Keurig but it would not work and the microwave does not get things really hot, just warm. We would stay again next year when we visit our daughter in WF if these items are fixed or replaced. Thanks!
This property had distinct pros and cons. On the plus side the home is as-advertised: large with spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Plenty of room for eight, even though we were only six. Kitchen was well stocked and everything was spotless when we arrived. The downside was snow removal, or rather lack thereof. The driveway is very steep and curved (I'd be shocked if 6 cars could actually fit) and extremely icy. I was unable to get out without putting my truck in 4WD, and my wife's front wheel drive was unable to make it up the slope without assistance (she would up parking in the overflow spots on the road). While the listing shows a photo of a two car garage it is not accessible to guests. This should be stated explicitly in the listing. Be aware that this property is managed by a third party, Natural Retreats. They were very professional and responsive, but a bit pushy when it came to money. For example their cleaning crew found our group had left a few items of clothing behind. They were kind enough to send it back to us, and I was happy to pay the 20, but received three "Balance Due" notifications in the 12 hours following.

Stayed here with some friends for a short weekend ski vacation and it was great. Lots of room, close to the town, and close to the mountain. Would recommend!
Perfect getaway! A comfortable, upscale home that was well-maintained. We enjoyed the spa and grill. Picturesque, safe surroundings. We loved it and would highly recommend.
We had a wonderful time celebrating our son and his new wife in their marriage and exploring Glacier!

Hi, Jennifer. We are delighted that Scout's Retreat was the perfect home for such a wonderful celebration. We hope to welcome you back to Whitefish soon. Thank you for choosing Natural Retreats!
We really enjoyed our stay here in Whitefish. The location is great! We were in town for a family wedding and the space was perfect for our large family. The extra living area in the basement was nice for the kids/teens. Would recommend for families! Property managers were also very responsive with any questions we had during our stay.
Wonderful, spacious, and beautiful accommodations that housed many family members. Easy entry and great concierge service. One negative was restrictive policy for trash disposal, which became an issue because of Christmas boxes, wrapping, and beverage containers.

Thank you for your 5-Star review. We appreciate your taking the time and we hope that you can visit us in the near future!
The property was beautiful...inside and out. We were lucky to have great weather and to see the leaves change. Very clean and well appointed. Large enough for the 8 of us, yet cozy and comfortable! Ashley and Keisha provided all necessary information and were very responsive. Would definitely return for another family get-together!

It was a pleasure to host you and your family Tommi!
It is a nice house. Clean with nice sheets and towels! Easy checkin process and easy instructions. You are in the trees so it’s a bit dark, but it is a lovely location!!!
I could do without all the property manager texts about their real estate! That was a bit of a sales pitch on something I paid good money for. I didn’t like the sales aspect of that on vacation.

Thanks for your review, Molly. We're thrilled you had a lovely stay with us at Scout's Retreat. We apologize for the calls from the property manager, and we understand how frustrating it was while you were on vacation. Thank you for being our guests, and we hope to see you back in Whitefish soon!
Our group of 7 adults rented this home for our annual Whitefish Mountain trip. The house is incredibly spacious and could sleep a lot more people if you brought air mattresses to add to the spacious bedrooms. The hot tub is excellent for a soak after the ski day and the kitchen is the best equipped of any short term rental I have stayed in.
The snow management in the winter time leaves a bit wanted, as the driveway and access to the hot tub were both icy. The parking is also limited and it's a stretch to fit 4 cars on the steep driveway, but it can be done. Our fwd vehicle had no problem making it in and out of the drive though.
Would definitely stay again.
The house is definitely dated but it was comfortable enough for our group. We struggled trying to keep the room temperatures comfortable downstairs in the bedrooms were HOT and the main bedroom upstairs was Cold. We loved the fireplace but it seems it may need some maintenance to clean the soot as we needed to open a door or window to allow smoke to escape - and yes we checked to make sure the vent was open.. The driveway is definitely not the greatest to get in and out of. All and all we had the space we needed to enjoy our few days in Whitefish.

Thank you for being our guests, and we would like the opportunity to provide you with a better experience the next time you're in Whitefish!
Two couples celebrating our anniversaries stayed here. Amenities were very good quality. Beds very comfortable as well as furniture. Loved the deck area that was very large on two sides to enjoy. Bedrooms were huge. Great location for our 8 night stay. We all talked about wanting to come back to this home. It just felt so comfortable and relaxing. Appreciated the very nice kitchen, silverware, glassware and appliances. Excellent communication with either hosts or management company. Thank you for offering your home for rent. We appreciate you doing that as it was perfect for our needs. Nice to have two living areas and such a nice outside living area. So could have alone time or big rooms for group time.

Cabin was cozy and great for our family and dog. Loved the wrap around deck and spent a lot of time out there. Close walk to a state park with lake access, close drive to downtown Whitefish and Whitefish Trail. Quiet neighborhood with wildlife that could be seen daily.
Communication for check-in could have been better- we hadn’t heard about our 4PM check-in details by 3PM. With spotty cell reception and differing information between VRBO and the property rental company (e.g., WiFi login) we just wanted to feel more prepared with the correct information earlier in the day.
The rental itself is great, albeit a bit quirky. Took time to figure out which light switches went to which lights. They had great amenities but not all the basics (salt, sugar). Place seemed clean, but we found areas that could have used a more thorough look. Still overall would recommend.

And feel free to call and check with us if you are concerned about your check-in.
We chose this property because it had three bathrooms
and four bedrooms. We wanted all family members to have their own space and privacy and not be crowded. First flush of the upstairs toilet and we had water leaking from the ceiling in the bedroom below it. Should have realized there were issues with the plumbing when we saw the two disgusting plungers at the side of said toilet. Called property managers immediately and they said they would send a cleaning person. We didn't need a cleaning person, we needed a plumber. They said they would not send a plumber because the last time they sent him to the property for this same problem he said "the next time this happens we will need to do major repairs that include
removing drywall". This house was rented to us with the full knowledge that the plumbing had issues. Property manager offered us about $500 discount. For us, this was not about the money. It was about space and accommmodation They talked with the owner who then offered more of a discount. Again, NOT ABOUT THE MONEY. I live in the Flathead Valley in a home with two bathrooms. It would have been better to stay there and be a little crowded than pay ANYTHING for this place. NOT clean. Cobwebs evident on all the ceiling fixtures. When my grandson went to retrive a toy that rolled under the sofa, the layer of dust was unbelievable. In short, the dishonesty of renting a place that was known to need repairs was unconscionable, response completely inadequate.

Hi Susan. Thank you for your review and feedback. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the plumbing issue in the home, and that a plumber was not called out to fix it. Thank you for being our guests, and we would like the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.
Room for 6 adults to stay, each with their own bed. Great location for reunion with college friends. Beautiful surroundings. Loved hanging out on the wraparound deck and in the hot tub. Well-stocked kitchen. Generally, really well maintained. Only problem was a filthy BBQ and empty propane tank. I called property management; they said they’d send someone over to do a “deep clean” the next day but we didn’t see any sign of that. We ended up cleaning it ourselves. Communication was always prompt.
