Put your feet up and relax in our clean, warm & modern home. Located in a quiet area, a perfect spot to relax while spending your time in Fiordland.
Private outdoor area, comfortable beds, modern kitchen & two bathrooms available, all bedrooms host a TV on the wall.
Lake Te Anau is a 5 minute walk.
Enjoy easy access to town, with a 2 minute drive or 15 minute walk to town centre.
The space
Open plan living and dining, opening out onto a private deck with bbq, in a fully fenced backyard.
Main lounge has a heat pump & cosy wood burner, a smart TV with sky Sport and Netflix available.
Three bedrooms have a comfy queen bed and smart TV in each room, main bedroom has a california king bed, walk in robe and ensuite bathroom and includes a 75inch TV on the wall for those lazy morning sleep ins, heat transfer to bedrooms.
All queen beds have an electric blanket on for your comfort.
Main bathroom has a bath to relax in after a big hike or a day of travel.
Washing machine and dryer available for your use.

Guest access
Guests have full access of our home and backyard to enjoy.
Offstreet parking is available on the driveway and room to park the boat beside the driveway.

Hi Iain Thank you for your comment, my house keeper is very efficient so I will let her know there was no tea towel left in the cupboard for you, very sorry about that. As for our request of not cooking strong smelling foods, this is for future guests comfort, as strong smelling foods cooked, linger and is very difficult to remove for guests checking in the following day. We do try our best for all our guests. Thank you again 😊

We loved Renata’s place. It was so spacious, clean and had everything we needed. We loved that each bedroom had its own tv, and also the outdoor dining space. It’s a short walk to the lake where you can get a stunning view.

Despite the entire south end of the South Island not having power, which led to one of our vehicles running out of petrol,and the closure of the Milford Sound Road, we made the most of our stay in Te Anau. This thanks in large part due to the house we stayed in. A large, efficient wood stove, and the woodshed full of dry, split firewood kept us all warm, and the gas stove enabled us to have a delicious, hot supper, Our host, Renata was needlessly apologetic, and concerned that we were ok. It is a wonderful home and we enjoyed our visit, hoping to return to Te Anau and Acheron Way when mother nature is a little less volatile.

A lovely larger property. Very clean, well equipped and modern. Nice sized garden with children's climbing frame and trampoline for those with kids. A resident hedgehog called in to see us!Very quiet location but just a short walk away from the water front and 15 mins from the shops and restaurants. Lovely views of the surrounding peaks adds to the attraction of this home.

Room to spare

Like many visitors, we were drawn to Te Anau to visit one of the nearby fiords (called sounds here). We knew at this point of the trip we’d need laundry facilities, and we’re happy to have an onsite washer, dryer, ample detergent and a drying rack. The house is big (4 bedrooms), in a quiet neighborhood not far from town and very clean. It’s nice there are online movies available and a large table to play games. Games are available and the kitchen includes everything you need to cook. Small suggestion: It would be lovely to have a small of container of milk in the refrigerator to accompany coffee and tea in the morning. The mini split air conditioner is in the living room and doesn’t reach the bedrooms with the same vigor as it does that room. Even in the summer evenings are chilly making it a non-issue.

We have considered supplying milk as an extra gesture for guests, but have found many guests drink a variety of milk these days, so concluded it's best to leave this to our guests, as they generally get some sort of supplies from the local supermarket for their stay 😊 We hope you enjoyed our majestic fjords.
