Hickory House - 3 bedroom, open and spacious

Nestled along the Little Sandy River, Hickory House is the perfect getaway to be close to nature with family and friends. Enjoy kayaking, nature walks, and fishing, while only being a short 30 minute drive to Ashland, KY, or Portsmouth, OH, where you can enjoy shopping, a movie, or a night on the town. Only moments away from our friends at Hot Diggity Dog Ice Cream Shop. Also, minutes from Tres Herman’s Nunez Mexican restaurant. The cabin sits around 10 minutes from US Route 23.
The space
This place has been completely remodeled and newly furnished. We want to offer a beautiful place to relax at an affordable price. The bedrooms are spacious and the open kitchen / living room is very cozy.
Guest access
The whole house is yours. There is plenty of parking next the the walkway to the house.
Other things to note
We do not allow parties or large gatherings. If you have a question please ask. The space is only intended for the occupants that are renting.

Great Poperty for small family

We travel to KY yearly in early August for a family reunion from Alabama. Have rented this house each of the last 3 years and thoroughly enjoy the home, amenities and closeness to my family reunion site.

Great place!

The location was perfect, the cabin had everything we needed except a cookie sheet to back cookies. The host messaged us how to get in and the check in process was very smooth. The deck was perfect. Even had a grill with foil already on it. Ready to go! Everything was perfect for us and the dogs. Will be going back again.

Better that expected

This place was great. The air conditioning was top notch. The area was nice. Enjoyed having good water pressure in shower and a washer and dryer in the home. It does take a while to get back into the location which is my own fault for not researching that more since we were visiting family in Ironton Ohio so we really weren’t that close. But I Willis love to return to just have a relaxing time and do some fishing if I went back. I highly recommend this place to anyone!

We explained to you that you didn’t indicate that you were bringing a pet and were charged the 75.00 pet fee. Pet hair was everywhere. You only paid the room rate and taxes which have to be paid. All of this is disclosed before you book on VRBO. I’m sorry that you didn’t understand that before booking our cabin.
