It’s a great cabin with everything you need. The view is gorgeous and the area is quiet.
Unfortunately the beach in front of the cabin was too muddy to enter the water or for kids to play. There is a good beach 10min drive south.
This was a lovely property. It is well maintained and very clean. I would say the only negative comment I could offer was that although the view is beautiful, there isn’t a proper beach to swim that’s walkable. We definitely would return!
This stunning cottage was perfect! Very very clean and had all of the basics required for a peaceful getaway! There is a shallow water beach down the road. We literally sat in our floaties and floated around in the water which was warm. Quiet neighbors as well. Would love to have been able to stay longer! Thank you Stephanie for checking in on us and for allowing us to experience your beautiful retreat!
Stephanie was fabulous . Her patience and prompt responses were so appreciated. The place has everything you need and more . We Absolutely loved our stay from our morning coffee on deck looking at water till sunset couldn't stop smiling . Hoping to get out there again this summer . Would recommend this to anyone . If you are thinking of booking , don’t hesitate. So worth it .
Inside clean, outside weeded and swept cob webs before able to enjoy the outside.
I stayed for a week for August long. I showed up and the outside was cob webs, dead bugs and weeds. The bbq had dried meat and sauce from previous tenant. After my friend and I cleaned it up for an hour then we were able to relax and enjoy. The sunsets were spectaculaire. At night, the tv was small and the volume fluctuated between apps. The rooms were clean and I appreciated having extra towels even though I didnt need many.Even though the Province had wildfires we were still able to enjoy a fire. If you have small dogs like me, be aware that the neighbours have large dogs off leash.Stephanie provided beaches that we could visit since the mud in the lake that was lake front was sticky.Loved finding out I stayed in the Métis capital of North America

Clean inside.
We stayed for 2 nights on Sept long weekend. When we arrived we settled in and went to go sit outside. The chairs and table were very dirty covered in dead bugs- and live ones. Not a good 1st impression. Trees in the way of the water to see the lake. Need to be trimmed. Loud neighbours in the cottage beside. Not the one with the fence.. hard to sit out with the noise.
We went out on July 11th - 14th. Had a blast. The cabin was so cute and well staged. Fully equipped with everything we needed. Oh, and the air conditioning in the cabin was amazing as we had heat warnings. There are also ceiling fans in all the rooms which keeps a nice breeze going. Great for sleep time! The cabin was very clean and everything is pretty much brand new. Lots of storage space to keep things tidy and organized. Couches were very comfy for relaxing and watching a movie at night. The water was very warm and required no stalling to go in. The beach is sandy and not all rocky. The sand in front of the cabin was very soft and you sink in a bit so if you are looking for firmer sand then head down a block or so away to the south where there is a public beach area that has much harder sand. There is also another fantastic spot that was recommended that we tried called Big Tree Park on Sandpiper rd and it was amazing and much deeper as the other beaches you can walk out a few football fields whereas this one got deeper much faster. There are a few stores in town if anything was forgotten or needed. The amount of seashells on all the beaches was shocking and amazing(I love seashells), the girls couldn't stop collecting them to make crafts and jewelry, they were in absolute heaven. The large fire pit was a great treat for smore night. Picnic table is great for outside snacking and meals. I brought a large fan to use outside on the porch to keep bugs away and it worked!
