This privately owned holiday home is located only minutes away from the Mount Buller & Mt Stirling entry gates. It features beautiful views of the surrounding mountains from every window.

This stylish architect designed three-bedroom home is ideal for multiple families or groups seeking active pursuits such as skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking or four-wheel driving, as well as those looking for a more relaxed place to enjoy the serenity and beauty of the Victorian High Country.

From the moment you walk into Black Tusk, you will be amazed by the all the furnishing and high-end finishes.

On the ground floor of the house, there is a bedroom with a double bunk bed so the room can sleep 4 guests.

Opposite the room is a bathroom with shower and toilet.

There is a laundry, large kitchen, dining table and lounge room with a wood burning fireplace.

The huge deck has an inbuilt BBQ and outdoor furniture to enjoy the most incredible views of the surrounding mountains.

The house and location were beautiful. But the property is tired and unloved. It feels like it needs a good clean and freshen up, to live up to the 1000 per night charged by the host. The bathrooms and kitchen were clean enough , but the bed linen, pillows and sheets were cheap and worn. There was an unpleasant smell in the bed in the down stairs bedroom. The BBQ was too dirty to use.This property is not quite up to the Stayz standards I've experienced in other properties.

SNOW HOUSE

We had an amazing stay, the property itself and the location was stunning. We loved the stunning views although the day. The house itself was very well presented and very clean. We did message and call the management to connect to the properties wifi during our stay as there was no password provided with no response which was a little disappointing. Overall a beautiful property close to Mt Buller and the perfect snow house. Would recommend.

Incredible home with majestic views

The namesake Black Tusk hearkens back to Whistler, my favorite place to ski for decades. This home truly delivered all the enchantment that the name seems to promise. The pictures on this listing showcase the property well, but no camera can truly capture the magic of being there. Upon opening the front door and walking to the living room with vaulted ceiling, generous windows and reticulated glass doors giving way to panoramic views, the magnificence just overcomes you. An immediate sense of having made the best possible decision just set in, and we immediately just loved this house. My daughter and I stayed here four nights for a few days of skiing at Mt. Buller, and it was an easy drive to the lifts. We are already talking about booking this home again for future ski trips. The kitchen is well appointed, appliances are top notch and the bathrooms are super cool. The modern fireplace was a clear winner, delivering a warm, cozy ambiance well suited to this mountainous area. The back deck was an incredible platform to greet the morning sun and the vibrant rosellas that perched on the frameless plexiglass balustrades while having breakfast outside with kangaroos in the distance. Visiting from overseas, this was almost surreal as I don't see these scenes often. The bedrooms were comfy enough to sleep off the days of skiing and get back to the slopes fully recharged. Romy (manager) was super friendly reaching out to make sure everything went perfectly, which it did!
