The house was warm and welcoming. So spacious! Thank you for the basket of goodies!!! Beds were super comfortable, great towels. Well-stocked kitchen. We had a lovely early Christmas meal! A beautiful setting!!!
This house is ideal for a large group as long as most folks can climb 18 stairs. It has a lovely kitchen, several outdoor areas and lots of ways folks can be together and also take a break from the crowd.

We are so glad you had a great stay! Please come back and stay with us again anytime!
Beautiful property! The pool was awesome, we had it heated for our stay. A little chilly getting out of it in September but the water was perfect. The house has more than enough space for everyone to spread out and plenty of things to do. River views are amazing and beautiful sunsets.

Our family enjoyed our stay! The pool was a highlight. The spacious yard allowed for our suburban kids to run with freedom! The badminton and kayaks were fun too. A great overall experience for all of us

Rhonda,I'm glad your family enjoyed our home. The open space is freeing. Thanks your review. Betty :)
Great week in an excellent setting. Everyone loved the pool; lots of room; kitchen well stocked; saw a bald eagle, turtles, lots of birds, and one snake down near the dock. We will probably consider this property for next year.
The house was beautiful in a great waterfront location. This is not a place I would bring kids or dogs. There is WAY too much breakable stuff out on shelves. It was perfect for our ladies weekend. We appreciated the extra towels and sheets. Plenty of kitchen stuff, soap, and coffee stuff.
I reserved the house for me and my son and daughter and their families. It turned out great, the kids had plenty to do….pool, kayaking and lots of room to play outdoors.
The family gathered here for a memorial service in Denton. The lovely property made all the difference. Everything was there and everything went so smoothly. We also enjoyed a spectacular sunset.
The property is a great place to get away and enjoy some time with family. We enjoyed swimming in the pool. Fishing was fun as well catfish for days. Nice sunsets by the fire and just overall a great time with the family.

We loved the pool and the historic house. It was perfect for a family vacation and allowed us to bring our fur babies with us. We enjoyed fishing and swimming as well as the volleyball court. We got crabs from a local place, and they were delicious. We played cards and pool in the evenings and the only thing we left for was to get supplies. We did go antiquing one day and found some great things to add to our collections. We would rate the house and pool a 10!!!
This large property - inside and outside - was perfect for our family get together. We were a total of 7 adults, 3 children and an infant and there were plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, dining room space and other areas to hang out in. The pool and fire pit were great for kids and adults, and some of the family enjoyed kayaking. The property adjoining the Choptank River was private and peaceful. The property manager - Julie - went above and beyond to provide us what we needed for a great mini-vacation. We would love to go back again in the future.
Our recent stay at Betty and Lawrence’s historic home on Pealiquor Road was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we loved the house’s elegance and thoughtful decor, and historic charm.
The property offered everything we needed. We enjoyed playing pool in the game room, fishing and kayaking on the river, and of course the beautiful pool. The fact that the property is pet-friendly was a major highlight—our dog, Maui, had an absolute blast..
We were also impressed by the progress Betty and Lawrence have made with the property. We were thrilled to see the careful updates and preservation efforts that enhanced the home’s character.
A heartfelt thank you to our hosts for their hospitality and for sharing their stunning home with us. We wish them all the best with their ongoing projects and look forward to the possibility of returning next year.
Nestled right along the flowing river, this spacious house proved to be an absolutely fantastic setting for our ten-woman getaway! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the sheer size of the property – plenty of room for everyone to spread out and feel comfortable without ever feeling cramped. The common areas were perfect for our group. We spent hours in the generously sized living room, catching up on comfy couches. The dining area easily accommodated all of us for meals, and the well-equipped kitchen made preparing our feasts a breeze. We especially appreciated having ample counter space and all the necessary cookware. The bedrooms were a dream! Each offered a cozy and private retreat, and we loved that there were enough bathrooms to avoid any morning rush. But the real highlight was the outdoor space. The proximity to the river was incredible. We spent our morning and afternoons lounging on the back porch by the water, simply enjoying the peaceful ambiance. Evenings were magical as we gathered around the firepit, sharing stories under the stars with the river gently flowing nearby. While the house itself was stunning, the location truly elevated our experience. Being right on the river offered a sense of serenity and connection with nature that we all cherished. It felt secluded and private, yet it was still conveniently located enough for us to explore the charming town nearby. If you're looking for a large house that can comfortably accommodate a big group, es
