Family weekend

Great place to spend time with family. Terrific location and a house that is really comfortable with everything we needed. Really lovely beds and plenty of space to stretch out. Beautiful views over the beach.

We were disappointed that large refrigerator in dining room not working, Also overhead fan in one of bedrooms not working. Plus a feature from outside is the upstairs rooms, presumably bedrooms, but these were blocked off, and so could not be u sed.

READ BEFORE BOOKING!!!! Stayed 4 nights in Jan ‘26 w/ temps 97–107. Positives: Ample living room, enough seating in dining room, large bedrooms, street parking, across from Henley Beach, fantastic sunset, Adelaide is 15 min. by car.Negatives: 1 of 4 bedrooms has AC, the other 3 have ceiling fans, rooms were quite warm so keep doors open. Broken clothes dryer, broken dishwasher, broken AC, and broken refrigerator. We had to use a small refrig which is totally inadequate for a house that sleeps 9. NO beach umbrella or chairs. The house is filthy with dirt/dust on windows, sills, fans, shower tiles, ceilings, and lights. Rodent infestation with LOTS of mouse poop on the floor. Sand on the bed sheets when we arrived. NO BBQ even though it is listed under amenities!!! Two main bathrooms and 1 rustic toilet. One main bath has a half wall open to the front porch - no privacy for noises/smells. Very small shower with no place for soap/shampoo and very dark with only 1 light. NO counter or storage space. This bathroom has lots of dirt/ dust hanging off the walls, light, ceiling, and fans.House needs a LOT of attention and a good cleaning. Kitchen table is chipped in over a dozen places; wood is rotted, sun room glass windows/ledges are filthy, paint is peeling off the walls in huge sections.Disappointed in the lack of attention, poor housekeeping and maintenance issues. Owner was unresponsive re: problems. It is bare bones with NO amenities.
