Her wife and I posted our three children and their spouses, and each of them had a child of their own. The house was very functional and supported everyone involved. Truly enjoyed the family room and the game room all weekend. I highly recommend this location.
Everything was amazing the property was large and allowed for us to spread out even though there were six people staying in the home we were very entertained with the game room and also loved sitting out front on the front porch while there are certain aspects of the house that are a little older we actually love those and found them very Charming otherwise the house was incredible and the owner is super kind

Nice house, but has HVAC and Electrical issues.
The house is nice and has plenty of room. However the HVAC and electrical need some serious attention. The AC would not cool. The AC ran nonstop from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. AC was set to 72 degrees and the temperature would fluctuate between 75 and 78 degrees. 2 times the thermostat had a message saying there was a cooling problem because it detected the temperature raising. This made the second floor very hot. I would say it was easily 80 degrees on the second floor for the entire stay. Too hot to sleep most nights. We did contact the owner and a HVAC tech did come out, but the main unit is behind a locked door so all he could do was clean the outside unit and replace a capacitor. It did help a little, but the AC still struggled to cool the house and the upstairs remained very hot.Our 3rd night in the house a large amount of outlets (and some lights) stopped working. On the first floor half of the outlets in the bedroom, Livingroom, and Dining room stopped working. Also a few of the outlets upstairs stopped working. This was a problem because we could no longer run some of the fans second floor. Outlets still were not working when we left.We checked to see if we could stay somewhere else to escape the heat and electrical issues, but it seemed everywhere in Sandusky was booked.

Response from VrboOwner on 16 Sept 2025
We want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we apologize that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- We responded promptly to your messages and had an HVAC technician out during your stay. While access to the main unit was limited, we’ve since installed A/C and heat split units in each upstairs bedroom to improve comfort during extreme temperatures.- We’re sorry the upstairs rooms were too warm — the home was built in 1904, and older construction can retain heat longer, especially during high outdoor temperatures.- We’re actively looking into the electrical issues you mentioned to make sure all outlets and fixtures are working properly moving forward.- This home also features a new roof and windows, and we’re continuing to make upgrades so it stays comfortable and well-equipped for future guests. Thanks for taking the time to leave your review.
