This location is perfect spot, close to tram, train station, and amazing Edinburgh sites. There was more than enough space in this apartment to feel more like a home away from home. Grocery store is around the corner, and many eateries to explore. Bed was comfy, shower was clean, and having a kitchen was a great option.

Fabulous experience from start to finish: a good sized room in a second to none location bang on in the centre of Edinburgh, and only a 10 minute walk from Waverley train station. The offices were located within a further 10 minute walk, meaning that we could leave our bags there upon arrival while waiting for the room to become available. We left our bags at the offices again after check-out, meaning we didn’t have to incur any extra charges for luggage storage on our last day. The room itself was lovely and bright and we had no issues with noise at all. The bed was comfortable enough, though I would have preferred a different (softer) pillows - but I appreciate that this is a personal preference. The room was ultra clean and when a bulb needed to be changed this was done by the cleaner while we were out of the room. The only negative was the that one of the pots was super scratched and should be changed for a stainless steel pan as it was firmly part its sell by date. B

There was 2 towels for us each, shampoo and shower gel was also provided. No toothpaste though. Kitchen has all the crockery you need, no frying pan though but has 2 saucepans. Nice cosy blanket also available in the wardrobe. They also provided some dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and clothes washing tabs. If you park at St James, you can obtain discount for the parking from the hotel's office which is a short walk from the hotel. Definitely worth it.
