Enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It is close to Hanyk Arashiyama Station, and short walking distance from the main attractions in the area. Premises seems to be an apartment building turned into a hotel, so has the feeling of a home away from home. Simple, clean and well equipped accomodation.

Our group of 3 loved the clean, spacious rooms and proximity to the Monkey Park and Bamboo forest. The extra space felt like a luxury after many smaller (but more expensive) hotel rooms. The Beautiful pizza restaurant a 5 minute walk from the hotel blew us away. If you like desserts, there are so many places to choose from just a short walk away. The staff were kind and accommodating of us!

Only thing that's a downside is be sure to check the hotels website, some other booking agencies have other photos listed for this hotel that are misleading. Hotel was great, and very cheap for the space. It’s not luxurious but very comfortable. Good beds. Mini apartment really with little kitchenette. Staff attentive and had good English. Great location for monkey park (steep climb, be warned). Arashiyama is beautiful. Bamboo forest is pretty close at about 10-15 minutes walk away. Convenience store 300m away, right next to Hankyo railway (Arashiyama station) into Kyoto centre. I recommend Mizuki (very Kyoto-authentic restaurant); it’s a gem.

The room was within walking distance from the bamboo forest and local restaurants. It was hard to find dining at night because some restaurants close early and you have to cross bridge to search for other restaurants. Too many gnats flying around. Gnats were also in the rooms. The staff were really nice and very helpful and patient.

Surprisingly I was given a huge room with 3 beds, kitchen and dining area so would be perfect for groups/family. I only stayed on my own so the room was too large for me, maybe the solo rooms became unavailable by the time I arrived but it was a wonderful stay. Very clean and modern, I would stay here again. The location was good with some cafes serving very good high quality matcha, convenience shop and station within a short walk. 10 mins walk you’ll find a beautiful bridge with a stream and more shops/restaurants plus the monkey park and bamboo forest. Highly recommend the Fu Fu No Yu Onsen.

This was a nice hotel. Somewhat difficult to find, though. The attention to guests isn’t great. Left our garbage for them to take and it was still in our room when we returned at the end of the day. They offer free coffee, but ran out of cream and didn’t have any available for 2 days. Strange. Also, no front staff in the morning to ask questions.

Problematic location, spacious rooms.

The only issue with this place is it's location. Seriously it's very isolated and difficult to get to. If you are going to be carrying luggage, it would be annoying. We planned ahead and left our luggage at Kyoto's main station, and only brought a smaller travel bag with us to this area because of it's remoteness. The statff was very friendly, the rooms are HUGE compared to most Japanese hotels. We were happy there, but only because it was a short stay.

We stayed three nights over New Years Eve. While we didn't bring our dog we wished we had! The property has all kinds of amenities for pet owners like a washing srea and free treats. The room itself was like a small apartment complete with a toaster oven, microwave, and fridge. It was spacious! The floor is concrete as are the outside walls, which was good for soundproofing. It was not loud at all. We really enjoyed walking to the bamboo forest and the shops and restaurants. There is a mini mart not too far away. It was a very quiet area surrounded by water and it was very relaxing. Thank you!
