Spacious, immaculate, well-appointed apartment with great lighting, natural and otherwise. Kitchen was functional and amply stocked. Bathroom lovely with both shower and tub. Washing machine and dryer worked perfectly. Hard to keep from spending more time than I planned in the apartment!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. The rooms were nice and clean. Had everything we needed. Only one thing that was a little uncomfortable was the hard beds and dense pillows. We had a very good stay and the location was close to the bus station.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Although there was a slight confusion regarding my booking prior to my arrival, the staff handled the situation with the utmost professionalism and kindness. They were incredibly helpful and made sure that I felt welcome throughout my stay. I truly appreciate their dedication to service and their warm hospitality. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Edinburgh!"

I just love staying here! It’s the second time I’ve stayed at the Thistle Suites / Royal Garden Apartments and I have to say: staff at the front desk is just amazing. They’re friendly, welcoming and so helpful every time. The location is very convenient and you get everything you need in a few minutes walk. Plus, you can totally tell they’ve remodeled it AND coffee in the lobby was outstanding! This is totally worth the price. Book it. Thanks for a great stay, ladies, see you soon!

This was a STUNNING property - old world charm with new world amenities. We opted to pay a little more for the garden view and it was so worth it. Super central location, walkable to everywhere. Great little touches like laundry detergent, dish soap, Scottish speciality chocolates available for us. Would 10/10 recommend staying here!

The staff were friendly. The location is central, close to the Waverley train station and walking distance to so many things. The kitchen was well equipped. The laundry was convenient, although the machines are a little touchy and take forever to do a load. The apartment was nice and clean. The bed was a little hard however that is a personal preference. Our room had a nice interior view of the gardens and was quiet. Overall a great home base while in Edinburgh.

We came back to edingburgh to stay two more nights before traveling to iceland. I found this hidden gem right of St. James square. It’s so cute apartment with kitchen, utensils, each unit has their own washer/dryer with detergents supplied, clean, and quaint. Very close to rail, tram, and bus station. The receptionist is very friendly and helpful. You can get a cup of coffee or hot water extra towels at the front desk.Highly recommended for those wee are traveling here.
