Wonderful apartment in a peaceful Algarve town

Wonderful stay at this perfectly located unit which was a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment with a little living room. The building is easy walking distance close to the town square, restaurants, the ferry to Spain, shops, and the train station. A short drive to Monte Gordo beach (lovely!!). There is even a beach at the other end of VRS Antonio that is about 2 miles away that we walked to. The unit was spotless, spacious and very comfortable. We were slightly challenged with the A/C which shut off on its own when it reached the desired temp, but did not resume automatically to maintain the temp. There might have been a solution to this that eluded us and we didn’t bother to ask bc and managed fine, either by just re-starting the A/C ourselves or, in the nice cool and breezy evenings, by opening the many windows. We took advantage of the roof deck which gives you a 360 view of the river and town, including a pair of storks in a gigantic nest on the chimney-top of an adjacent building! Ours was a delightful stay and I only wish we had had more than 4 days to explore the town and other nearby Algarve towns.
