Fabulous location! Right across the street from the beach, right next to a coffee shop. The owner/manager is great! Lot's of positive energy. The hottub is 104 degrees! Wonderful and never crowded. You can't go wrong with staying here. "It's a good life."

We stayed only for a night but it was so pleasant that we would love to come back. Our studio suite was across from the beach park and we had a lovely view of the ocean and Laguna on the other side of the bay. We took a morning walk along the cliff walkway and walked through downtown Laguna. Our room had a Murphy bed, a kitchenette, and ceiling fans, which I really appreciated. It was decorated nicely and everything was in good condition.

Booked and confirmed the room with a King sized bed. The bed actually seemed like a Full size, and was not comfortable. Woke up with aggravated back pain. My girlfriend and I are 6'2" and 5'11" respectively. We needed a King size bed. At check-out the following morning, we learned that the room was a time share and was the only Commodore unit with a non-king sized bed. This is very unfair. If they knew the bed was not a King, how could they take my money, and be allowed to offer this room under false pretenses.

A very bad experience! We chose to book this property for fourteen days, especially due to the fact that it had a heated swimming pool, which we I need for health reasons. Before we agreed to renting the apartment, we spoke to the staff who assured us that, even though the jacuzzi was under construction, we would fully be able to enjoy the heated pool. On arrival, we found the water of the pool ice-cold. We enquired daily what was being done by the management to improve the temperature of the pool. Except for getting alternative promises and changing reasons for the dysfunction of the pool by the staff, the situation of the pool water temperature did not improve. That meant we weren't able to use the pool the full two weeks of our stay. As we were obliged by contract to stay in the Laguna Shores Commodore apartment, we had no possibility to find a different place. A letter of complaint to Expedia has regrettably till now never been answered and we received no compensation. On top of everything, the bed in our apartment was old and very uncomfortable. We also were forced us to hear every movement of guests on the floor above us, including their snoring. We definitely don't recommend Laguna Shores to anyone.

Very spacious, comfortable, clean, conveniently located. The shower didn't consistently have hot water, and the exercise machines and coffee were bad. But the value for the money made it all worth it!
