Our cabin by the River

We loved our unit, it was 30 metres from the banks of the Derwent River. We appreciated the view and tranquillity, and our hosts’ hospitality. The kitchen facilities, and breakfast supplies were a wonderful surprise.

Loved the setting, right on the river. Very quiet and peaceful (except for the jetski). Only negative would be the lack of washing facilities. Next visit to Tas, will definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at The Shingles Riverside Cottages we stayed in the Derwent Cottage and it very comfortably catered for the five of us. Veronica was very welcoming, and the supply of initial breakfast cereals, tea, coffee etc was a lovely touch. Such a beautiful outlook of the river and gardens. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Amazing

A beautiful spot on the Derwent River. Well presented and very comfortable. To sit and look at the view of the river while enjoying a drink was very restful. A variety of cereals and toast & jam were provided which was a surprise and very welcomed. Would highly recommend this stay

New Norfolk Finest accomodation

This accomadation has to be seen to believe. Situated on the Derwent River, amidst a lovely garden setting our studio apartment "the willows" can sleep 3, own kitchen with breakfast to make yourself. Cereal, Eggs, bread, butter and milk all supplied. Will be returning simply stunning

Such a beautiful location. We felt so welcomed on our arrival. Wishing we could have stayed more than the one night, so we will definitely be staying again in the future. Fantastic place to recharge the batteries. So quiet considering it is just off a busy street.

Picture Perfect

We arrived late at night but still greeted with a warm welcome the apartment was absolutely beautiful and so well appointed !! It was only when we woke up the next morning to find it was set in the most beautiful river side setting with beautiful gardens and a little over water private boat ramp!! Next time we will book for 4 nights and bring our fishing rods
