Find beach rentals near Akranes Lighthouse

Such a lovely property, really homely, very comfortable, great attention to detail. Lovely extras like nice paper napkins and candles for the dinner table. Beds were very comfortable, nice quality linen and pillows. Plenty supplies of toilet rolls, washing up liquid, garbage bags etc. Location is great if you want to stay in a rural location away from the city. It’s riight on the water , the views are amazing and an awesome expanse of sky for seeing the northern lights which we were very lucky to see. It’s a big home we are a family of 5 adults, we were very comfortable with plenty of room.

The only reason not to give this apartment 5 stars is that it didn't have the stated washing machine. We had been travelling for a few weeks and were gong to keep travelling after our stay, so this was one of the main reasons we rented the apartment. There WAS a laundry in the basement with a washing machine and dryer for our use (after we enquired), but they were both always full of other laundry. After 4 attempts to use the washer we reluctantly removed the other washed laundry. Besides this issue, the apartment was great...a very convenient location, well equipped and very comfortable. It would have been perfect if we could have had the convenience of a washer/dryer in the apartment as stated in the description, without going up and down the lift all the time to check if it was available. Great location. We stayed in the top floor studio apartment. It was more than spacious enough for the two of us. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we required. Loved the front balcony. Ample supply of hot water. Great heating. Loved everything about this place.
