Loved our stay. Really comfortable (no aircon but fans were adequate). Best thing about this place is that most accom in the Daintree is down in the rainforest which is very pretty but also hot, abit stuffy and full of mozi’s! Up here you have the breeze and the view and it’s just a great spot to come back too.

it is a lovely property in the rain forest with a gorgeous view, a beautiful semi-outdoor bathroom and cooking facilities and is perfect for a stay for a couple or a single person who want(s) to have a very comfortable nature experience. It is both ecologically low impact and immensely practical. A nice touch is the outdoor bath. I will return with hubby next time!

A very chill, cool, relaxing house perfect for 2 families. We loved lazing on front deck, beside the pool & in the shared spaces. Loved the art, books, games. Highly recommend

This property is exactly what the pictures show. Peaceful, serene, and exceptionally welcoming. We stayed for 6 nights and enjoyed every moment of our stay. The caretaker is a gem, she took care of all the little things that make a stay truly memorable. We needed a cot and blow up mattress for 2 small children, she prepped them and added extras around the home for them to explore as well. The AC and fans in every room kept us very comfortable even in mid summer, and the pool is a perfect relief after a rainforest hike. Highly recommend this for a relaxing family or friends getaway.

A charming retreat designed to maximise interaction with the exotic surrounds. And magnificent views.

Property was exactly as described. I wasn't expecting solar power as I had never visited the daintree before but soon learnt there is no mains power on that side of the river. The power never missed a beat though and would never have known it was solar. There was also a back up generator that wasn't needed. The was also no air conditioning which I was worried about bit the house was naturally cool and comfortable. Was a really great experience.

A great family space in a fantastic spot

We loved Franks place so much we wished we had more time there. Frank was there to meet us and told us about the history of the Barn and talked about the area. So crazy how they got all the supplies to build all the way up there 30 years plus ago, I don't know how they managed as I was up there back then and it was all dirt roads.We were in a four wheel drive and it was pretty full on then!! We have booked the Barn for our Son and daughter and-law to be for a wonderful honeymoon in November. We want to go too !! Thank you again Frank for sharing your beautiful home. We will be back.
