About this property
Artists' Beach Front
The Artists' Beach Front has all you could want- a beachfront four bedroom (plus studio) 3 bathroom beach house, on the beach, with pool. Looking over the amazingly beautiful and virtually deserted 14 km stretch of Wonga beach and surrounded by the Daintree Rainforest, you will wake to sunrises over the ocean and towering palm trees, and fall asleep to the sounds of the coral sea. Remember those laid back holidays of the past where simple days were spent exploring nature and enjoying each others company? You have found the perfect place to chill out. The Artists' Beach Front is epitomizes ultimate North Queensland experience - virtually empty beaches, rainforest, cane fields, incredible fishing, slow days staring at the sea - but if you feel like the cafe lifestyle, Port Douglas (half an hour drive) and Mossman (15 minute drive) are just a drive away. And to make it better, The Artists' Beach Front oozes art, soul and creative vibes - the sort of place that makes you feel great as soon as you enter. The sort of place that inspires creativity.
We also own the incredible five bedroom Artists' Beach House, the charming one bedroom Artists' Cottage, the two bedroom Artists' Nook, and the three bedroom Artists' Treehouse. Why don't you spend a week in Port Douglas, and then a week at the Artists' Beach Front?
AN AMAZING HOUSE TO CREATE AMAZING MEMORIES.
The Artists' Beach Front has a large kitchen and walk in pantry with all that you should need to create the ultimate dish, while staring at the sea to the front or the rainforest and pool to the back. This opens to the 'bamboo bar', the ultimate place to chill out, read and chat. The open plan dining and living room are to the front of the house. This opens up to the front deck and undercover entertaining area with weber bbq. The house, with its french door and louvres, epitomize the best of tropical living, capturing the sea breeze and light. The house is also fully airconnditioned if needed.
The 'coral sea' bedroom with queensize bed to the front of the house looks over towering coconut palms to ocean views. The coral sea bedroom has its own ensuite and walk in robe and flat screen tv. The bedroom has french doors opening to the expansive deck.
The 'mango bedroom' has a queensize bed, ensuite and walk in robe with flat screen tv. This bedroom has french doors that open up to the back deck, views of the mango tree and pool.
The 'frangipani bedroom' has a queen size bed and built in robes. This bedroom has french doors that open to the back deck and an outside claw bath, so you can enjoy long baths staring at the stars.
The 'crews quarters' is a bedroom like no other, featuring two sets of built in double bedbunks, desk, flat screen tv,dvd and built in robes.
The 'artists' studio is situated to the front of the house. It has a built in daybed, large desk space, with french doors opening to the front deck.
The bathroom has a shower, toilet opening to the back deck which leads to another outside shower and clawbath.
The pool is situated at the back of the house, the perfect private space to laze the days away.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
If you still want to be centrally based to explore the region, but are searching for a more tranquil holiday away from the noise and crowds of Port Douglas, you have found the perfect spot to chill out, but still close enough to everything you must explore over your time here.
The Artists' Beach Front is situated on the beach front - 14 km of virtually empty beachfront is there to explore. Start your day with an invigorating sunrise walk. Join the fisherman on the beach who often catch 1 metre barrumundi fish, or net kg's of fresh prawns. Watch mantarays on their breakfast hunt. Spend your day getting lost in the back roads, through the canefields, exotic fruit farms and valleys, swimming in the freshwater creeks and gorges. Take a trip to explore crocodiles of the Daintree river, just ten minutes away. A few minutes drive north, and you are in the most magnificent Daintree rainforest. After a day of exploring the region, grab the chairs at the end of the beach path and enjoy the incredible sunsets with a glass of wine
Old Wonga Beach is half an hour north of Port Douglas, and reminiscent of Port Douglas 30 years ago. It is a small beachside township that has a small shop with all you need, petrol and takeaway store, chemist and alcohol shop. The cane farming town of Mossman, with its large supermarket, saturday farmers markets is only 15 minutes south. The sleepy Daintree village, sprinkled with a few restaurant and cafes is only 15 minutes north. The Daintree River crossing, which leads you to the magical daintree rainforest and cape tribulation is a short drive north. The incredible Mossman gorge just 15 minutes away.Port Douglas, with its extensive restaurants, cafes, and amazing beach is only half an hour south. You can take a great selection of boats to explore the amazing great barrier reef, or go fishing.

About the host
Hosted by Tina Gonsalves

We love airbnb - We travel the world staying in airbnb rentals, so we know what makes a great holiday rental, so you will love our abodes. I am an artist. My husband, Matthew Wild is a chef. Our son, Pablo Wild is nearly 15 and sees the world as his home. Our little one Hugo is loving the adventures. We travel the world a lot, probably over 100 countries now - we are big believers in world schooling - but when we are not nomadic, we live between Beautiful Port Douglas, Wonga Beach, Goa in India and Amazing Berlin. Come and stay in our charming homes oozing art, soul and creative vibes. Our homes are created with love, lots of hard work, and a passion of collecting and creating. We search the world for items we love. As much as possible, we recycle building materials, and upcycle furniture. Our houses aren't fussy or pretentious, but they are all about charming you, inspiring you, and celebrating the creative spirit. We love to create homes that create beautiful conversations, and spaces that inspire warm heartedness, lots of laughter and precious memories. We hope we get to share our homes with you
