Speer pet-friendly rentals

This little appartment has just about everything you need. Kitchen appliances I used all worked well though I did not use the oven. There was no extraction fan above the cooktop so you have to be careful to cook on a lower heat and cook with the door open. The location has good access to the city (walkable in 20 minutes) and is close to Cheesman Park. Parking is just what you can get on the street, which sometimes means you park up to a block away but mostly you can find something close. There are a few quirks though. When we arrived we asked about the cooling system. We were told we could control it only by opening and closing the vents. There is a vent above the TV that vibrates and it is right outside the bedroom. (The bedroom has no door separating it from the living room /kitchen). We discovered the day we were leaving that this vent was controlled by a switch on the wall...shame this info was not forthcoming when we asked as it would have made for a better sleep. The air conditioning unit is adjacent to the outside wall of the unit so you can hear the unit compressor start up and shut off. There are no washing facilities in the unit proper and you need to ask to use the main facilites. This was no problem except finding where they were when no one was home and no directions were given, just the agreement that we could use them at an agreed time. It turned out after a few message exchanges with the owner that we were to use the door adjacent to the bedroom that had a sticky note posted on it saying “Do not use this door”. The second night we were there I was woken by a noise about midnight...which I think was the dryer switching off...makes sense as it turned out we were beside the laundry...but then I was not able to sleep after that as there was a light left on in the laundry which shone through the gaps around the door and directly into my face! It was not till we were granted access through the “do not enter” door the next morning , that I was able to switch off the light...messaging the owner at midnight to turn off the light got no response! The mattress was good quality but very soft. We are used to a firm mattress and we were able to achieve this by turning the mattress over. There were plenty of extra blankets and pillows available for use. There was far too much furniture for the space...we ended up stacking a lot in the bedroom so we could move around. The new bathroom was great with good quality towels.
