Central Air System: Control the temperature and air filtration in the unit by setting the Blueair HVAC machine that heats, cools, purifies 1689 square feet in 1 hour for all season comfort. This machine requires a 3 feet clear berth; keep it 3 feet away from all furnishings, suitcases, cribs, towels, etc. Message us if you would like the password to also control the HVAC through the BlueAir App.

Further adjust the temperature and humidity in the unit to your liking, you may use the fireplace, space heater, extra blankets, windows, portable fan, and/or two humidifiers.

There is a Nest HVAC system shared with the upstairs unit. Nest requires 4-degree range and is set to be between 66-70 degrees Fahrenheit. The AC is generally on only between 8 PM and midnight. The heat is generally only on between 6 AM and 11am. Please avoid closing any HVAC vents completely as that will counteract and overwork the Nest system and do not adjust at all the Return Vent (labeled).

Great Wash Park Stay

Very nice property located right across from Wash Park. Nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable for my family of four. Kids loved walking to the park everyday. Great location close to other Denver neighborhoods, restaurants, etc. Highly recommend!

Great property in Wash Park

The house is adorable, just like the pictures show. It is right across the street from a beautiful park and only a 10-15 minute drive from anything in downtown Denver. The property is managed by a property management company, and they sent many emails (to an annoying and unnecessary degree) weeks before our stay. However, once we got to the property and needed their help, they were great. The house is well stocked with what you need. Overall, we had a really nice time staying at this property.

Thanksgiving family trip.

This unit was advertised as a bungalow but it was rather a basement. The inside was very warm, we couldn’t adjust temp. only by opening the windows. I think overpriced for the standard. Thank you

Wash Park Stay

The facilities were spectacular and well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. It was lovely to have the coffee and snack stash upon our arrival, and the bathroom amenities along with the laundry amenities were an added bonus! The unit was clean and exactly as advertised, a great central location to explore Denver and the surrounding area. Our only issue was we were approved for a late checkout, however our code to unlock the door expired at the standard check out time. We were checking out on Easter, and I think this made getting ahold of the appropriate people a little challenging. Our issue was eventually resolved and overall our stay was very enjoyable.

Fall trip to Denver

Lots of pros: Quiet, pretty place less than a block from the beautiful Washington Park. Really loved the location. Check in was easy. The apartment is furnished nicely, updated appliances, and had everything we needed (even guest robes). The primary bedroom even has a working cozy fireplace. Nice outdoor seating area. Owner addressed the few things that came up during our stay. A few cons: This is a basement unit and the internet wasn't great. You can't adjust the temperature in the unit, so we had to go through the owner a couple of times to get the heat turned down. The emergency phone line was not answered so got responses by texting.

Inaccurate amenities listed & no way to set the unit's temperature

The property was listed with a hot tub. This property does NOT have a hot tub. This was a huge issue for us because that was our only search criteria. The owner has since updated the amenities, but that doesn't change the fact that our trip was impacted. We had several other issues as well. The door code was not keyed properly. It took us 1.5 hours trying to get in touch with the owner and chatting with VRBO before we were able to get into the property. The owner said they "changed the management company" recently but keying the door code properly seems like a basic task. The unit is in the basement of a house and the unit does not have its own central heating. This means you cannot adjust the temperature at all. The check-in documents that we got the day before we arrived said "... to adjust the temperature to your liking, please use fireplace, space heaters, extra blankets, windows, portable fans..." in Denver's rapidly changing climate this is not an ideal way to try to manage the temperature inside the unit. The space is cute, but with all the issues we had I would not recommend staying here. Choose somewhere else.

Great addition of HVAC in the unit since we stayed last. The apartment is bright and airy, exceptionally clean and well-appointed. It was our first time staying with our children. It was great having a crib and full washer & dryer. And the location just can't be beat, with Washington Park steps away, including the pool and playgrounds. Diana was consistently responsive and helpful. We look forward to returning!

The location, cleanliness, and communication with the host were all excellent. However, certain quirks about the unit mean I would struggle to recommend it to others.1) It is a basement apartment so natural light is limited to small windows. Additionally, the upstairs is occupied and you can clearly hear the occupants walking around. 2) When we first arrived the entrance smelled like cat litter - we asked the host about this and were told it was likely because the upstairs neighbor cooked recently. However, the smell persisted for the majority of our stay. We presumed the occupants upstairs have a cat and given that ventilation is shared between the units, the smell was present downstairs.3) You have no control over the thermostat. The temperature is set upstairs and while I understand that the owner didn't want to put in a seperate AC/Heating unit downstairs it is pretty egregious to not have control over a key component of room comfort. I will note that this is not stated explictely anywhere in the listing (it is in the reviews) but rather I was made aware of it shortly before arriving when we recieved the welcome email.

Nice place, but cold!

Overall, the property was clean, had plenty of space for us and our daughter to spread out, and good amenities. The close proximity to Washington Park was wonderful and there were lots of good restaurants nearby. We stayed five nights and one hand towel for the bathroom and one dish towel provided. When we asked for a few more, we were told we could just use the make up towels or extra bath towels, which worked fine, but a few extra towels would've been nice. The big drawback was that we couldn't control the temperature (as stated in the booking details, so we can't say we weren't warned). This property is in the basement and the unit above is where the thermostat and the temperature controls are. It was in the 90s in Denver while we were there, so the AC was blowing from about noon until 5 AM, which meant freezing cold air was blowing constantly. By about 4 PM we were all wearing long pants and sweatshirts, we put extra blankets on the beds, and we wore socks to sleep. It was pretty cold! Blankets were provided, and the notes said we could turn on the fireplace to help control the heat, but we didn't want to turn the fireplace on when it was 90 out!Overall, it was a really nice property, but we probably wouldn't stay again if we couldn't control the temperature.

Perfectly modern and charming

My friend and I stayed for a long 3 day weekend. We loved this comfortably modern home. The space is light and bright even though it is downstairs. The beds were comfortable, with large closets and amenities for a great night's sleep. The kitchen had all the appliances and cookware we needed. The location was so close to all the places we wanted to go to. The owner was very responsive for questions and requests. Two of my friends who live in the Denver area were excited to have an option to recommend to their family when they come to visit in town. We will definitely stay again when we are back in Denver! Thank you for sharing your wonderful home.

My daughter and I had a great stay at the Washington Park Getaway. Literally steps from Washington Park, we loved being able to walk with my daughter’s dog. It was a beautiful weekend.
