Puynormand pet-friendly rentals

We had a very relaxing two weeks in this comfortable, charming and well-appointed cottage. The cottage opens onto a rolling garden which offers several al fresco dining options and a clean and welcome plunge pool on a hot day.Sylvia and Philippe were gracious hosts, and particularly helpful on our first night after a 30-hour journey from Sydney. The village of St Philippe d’Aiguille is very quiet but has an excellent boulangerie a short walk from the cottage past the vineyards. There is also a good bistro at Puisseguin nearby. Our group of 3 couples had high expectations formed from the photographs we had seen of the property, but these expectations were met and exceeded! We fully appreciated Sonia’s assistance during our stay .She was extremely welcoming and attentive, and provided a great information package and history of the property. The property has been beautifully styled and sympathetically restored. There was a copious supply of linen, and toiletries, and the kitchen was very generously appointed! We were left wanting for nothing. It was a serene setting, and we thoroughly enjoyed using the outdoor facilities/ grounds. We also appreciated the solid and reliable wifi connection throughout the house. Sonia left some recommendations for activities during our stay ( and although we were unable to experience it all) the stand outs for us were wandering the Libourne Markets, having an unforgettable lunch at Clos de Milande and further afield our visit to Pichon Baron Winery. In summary we would not hesitate to recommend this fabulous property. You will not be disappointed. We would all love to return!

We stayed in Nathalie's chateau in September. It was so much more than we expected. Everything about it is fabulous. Nathalie was a gracious host, and we spent a lovely evening sipping wine and discussing life in France. She left us alone to our own devices, but was there for us if we needed her. The chateau is huge, easily sleeps 5. The kitchen is extremely well equipped...think of it...it's there! The rooms are full of character and memories past. The local baker supplied us with croissants and fresh bread...and a small shop with provisions (incl wine!). St Philippe was a lovely area and a great base to visit the beautiful surrounding areas....A pure delight.
