Beautiful old church 20 mins from Portland in a rural location, not too far from lakes and beach. Small dog safe with chicken wire added to the rural fencing around the perimeter of the 1 acre property. Loads of wood available for the combustion heater too. Note: Shower is in the spa bath and narrow stairs to the bedroom loft. Truly heavenly!

Excellent in every respect

Absolute bliss- no tv/no social media just great together time as a family. 2 x 21 year olds and 1 x 18 year old had a ball fishing/ hiking/ playing board games just like when they were kids. Just wonderul.

Very comfortable home. Good beds. Wonderful views from almost every room. We'll be back.

Something of a difficult start, arriving to find the cottage was far from clean; with dishes and cutlery put away dirty, dirt and dust throughout, and a few deceased rodents. Worse still: there were only 2 wineglasses, and we had friends coming for a couple of days. The property manager rose to the occasion and provided cleaning - which was done to a very high standard - and wine glasses. Disaster averted!The cottage is not large but had plenty of seating and was very comfortable for 4 adults, and the view over Bridgewater Bay is magnificent. One note: there are no fly screens and if the doors or windows are open for the breeze, the place fills up with flies. Screen doors would make a big difference! Otherwise a beautiful spot and a comfortable cottage.

Bushland Retreat is just that..the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace while the weather was cooler... then as the weather warmed up we were able to swim at the beautiful Cape Brigewater beach.

Beautiful old farmhouse just a short drive from Portland. All modern cons but still with all the old world charm of yesteryear. Super quiet and highly recommended.
