Charming little historical cottage with superb views. It's basic but very comfortable and quiet. Perfect for magnificent night sky viewing. Close to the everything the beautiful Cape Bridgewater has to offer.
Loved our stay at Devlins Cottage and hope to return someday! The cottage was cosy and enjoyed relaxing by the fire and looking out to the views of the ocean.
Our stay could have been made better with a couple of small improvements. The firewood supply was minimal and there was no prior notice of this so it was a pain to have to drive into Portland the next day to get more. It was also disappointing to arrive and find tea, coffe and sugar canisters empty except for four sugar sticks. Also maybe the listing needs to be updated as we couldn't find the BBQ anywhere!?
Everything else was fabulous!

Reviewer Comments:
The cottage is beautifully located. It is quaint and historic. As far as amenities go, it has everything you need but it was dirty. Fire place still had ashes, dusty, dirty ring in bath, shower water didn't drain, towels were stained. Sent the agent a nice email to let them know and didn't even receive a response, hence my review.

We had a lovely stay. Just rat droppings on bbq and in house and some cleaning to attend to. More firewood would also be helpful.
A charming, beautiful and cosy old stone cottage of 3 rooms. Basic but adequate facilities. Being able to have a wood fire was a wonderful. The bed was very comfortable. The cottage could be improved with a second bedside table and lamp and 2 extra lights in the kitchen/dining/lounge room; namely, a standard lamp next to the long sofa for reading and another light over the cooking area as the ceiling light was not particularly strong and not well placed given the configuration of cooking facilities. Stayed 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer.
Small, charming cottage, comfortable in its simplicity and unencumbered by unnecessary comforts/distractions. Perfect for a quiet retreat, sans screens, and a short walk to an unspoilt beach.
A gorgeous little cottage with stunning views. Perfect location for exploring the nearby coastline. Day trips to Portland and Glenelg added to the fun. Wonderful wildlife including an octopus swimming by. We will be back
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Devlins Cottage. Wood fires in the evening, comfortable bed and a sunny outside area for eating. Great sea views and walks. Don’t miss the seals!
An incredible charming cottage with views to the ocean. A short walk to the beach and the cafe, close to the seal colony and petrified forest - you really can't get much more idyllic!

Devlins Cottage is a place for couples wishing to escape the big city
A charming, but definitely not for everyone, cottage. No TV no problem. Only heating is a wood fire heater. Limited kitchen facilities. But it is in a great location with spectacular view of nearby bay. Lots of wonderful walks along the coastline.
Beautiful stunning Cape Bridgewater is a place located on one of three headlands poking out into the southern ocean Devlins cottage peeps out overlooking the Cape Bridgewater Bay. Quaint and gorgeous this tiny little cottage is perfect for one or two people
