A family friendly getaway to the beautiful high country and Lake Eildon offering the best views in the region. As soon as you step inside, Wongabeena will give you that comfortable and homely feeling. While you allow yourself to sit down on one of the comfy couches, you can see the picture perfect views from every window.
Step out on the veranda and soak up the clean fresh air while experiencing the breathtaking views which surrounds this fabulous getaway! Enjoy the abundant bird and wildlife from your fully self contained two bedroom log-cabin on our12 acre property. Kangaroos, wombats, king parrots, cockatoos, rosellas, they all live on your doorstep!
The kids can help to collect the free range eggs in the morning for your home cooked breakfast. Or they can help us feeding the chooks or Jasper and Toby, our mini-horses, Charlie the alpaca, or our sheep.
Our dam is stocked with fish and yabbies, so they can have fun in catching one or two.
Wongabeena offers all modern comfort and sleeps up to six people. The main bedroom has a queen size bed, while the second has 2 single beds. The lounge features a double sofabed. Bathroom with bath, separate toilet. Laundry with washing machine.
Wongabeena is also very suitable for 2 families/groups as additional luxurious accommodation for up to 4 people is available in Wongabeena Lodge, which is near the cottage. Wongabeena Lodge is also separately listed on Stayz.

The Mansfield Zoo is a must see and do for the kids, while the adults might want to explore the different wineries in the region or just enjoy a picnic around beautiful lake Eildon.
Wongabeena is also very suitable for couples and offers a romantic getaway with complete rest and relaxation after a stressful week at work. Do not take our word for it, just read what our guests said about it.
Dining out is only a short 10 minute drive away. And if you want to take it easy, just cook something on the BBQ or have a hearty meal in front of the cosy woodfire heater.
To ensure your (well behaved) pets will have a great time as well, they are allowed inside after a day of running around in dog paradise. There is a kennel for your dog if you wish to leave your dog safely behind if you wish to go out.
