Holiday rentals near Kyoto Prefectural Botanical Gardens

Our stay at Naoko and Andy’s Machiya was perfect. We were with our 3 kids and the place made our travels so much easier as we could come back to a place that felt like home. The location is central and easy to walk to places from. There are great cafes and restaurants near by and Naoko and Andy were nothing but the perfect hosts - so attentive to every question. Thanks again guys!

Great place to stay in Kyoto for a few days with a family. Lovely house close to subway, restaurants and many temples. Really easy and good to deal with.

This was our second time staying at this lovely property and weren’t disappointed. We had everything we needed for a super comfortable stay.

Authentic accommodation. The host and the owner were wonderful. We dealt with Satoru who was amazing. Speaks fluent English and very knowledgeable of the area. His recommendations were great especially for food. Will happily stay there again.

This property was very nice and we enjoyed our stay here greatly. Our hosts were very friendly and gave us a good tour on arrival and provided plenty of advice about the surrounding area. They also responded very promptly to any msgs in the Stayz app. Property was very clean, easy to walk to/from the train and in a nice area.

We were greeted at the door by Yoshiko. Lovely to meet with her again. She explained changes that had happened since Covid. The machiya is a piece of history and is so peaceful. The bath is amazing with a feature that will fill then notify you that it is ready. The garden off the bedroom is a calming place to enjoy. This is such a well situated place to stay. We would love to return.

Loved the beautifully restored home. Mark was a great host. Good location close to train and just a 15 to 20 minute stroll from Gion. Great gin bar around corner too !!

We are family of 5 adults from Australia and UK and totally enjoyed our stay. Able to check in early and handled smoothly by office staffs. Akiko was away but her assistant did a good job. Helped us to book taxi and answered all our requests. Place is extremely clean (cleaner than my home) and well equipped. Good facilities for cooking and laundry. Of course, the decor is as good as advertised. Central enough to walk to Gion area and more. Staff was very quick to come and reset the oven when we found it didn't turn on. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Highly recommended. Terry
