My sister & I had 5 nights at Kupu Kupu Villa. It was everything & more than what we had anticipated. A true gem

We loved our stay. Stunning pool and grounds and beautiful staff.

With the amazing properties throughout Bali, you are not short of options for your holiday. Yet, we returned to this specific Villa because of everything it offers. There are just not enough superlatives to suitably describe Samuh Hill. From our warm welcome at the airport to our heartfelt departure, the service was consistently exemplary, surpassing all expectations. There was nothing that the team wouldn't do for you - and always with the biggest of smiles. My wife and I spent 5 days here with no intention of leaving the villa. And we nearly achieved this, only leaving for 20 mins to visit the local shop - because we ran out of ice creams ... We took full advantage of Madam Wayan's Restaurant and ordered in every night. Our dinner arrived 30-40 mins after sending the whatsapp message and was beautifully presented on the outside table for us to enjoy with the priceless artwork surrounding us [the view]. I have not found a better view in Bali. To wake up to, to view from the lounge, the pool, the sun bed, to go to sleep with. Everywhere you are enveloped by this priceless backdrop. Only bettered by the powerful Mt Agung staring back at you. If I have to give one one negative about this place ... it's that it has spoilt me for my next visit. It's like what I imagine flying first class would be like. Once you've done it, it would be extremely hard to go back to the back of the plane. I truly hope that we get to experience Samuh Hill for a third time.

When opening the gate to our private 2bdrm Villa garden, we knew we were in paradise! The manicured grounds surround the long pool with umbrella covered sun beds at either end. The massive single story Villa has huge glass sliding doors from all rooms which open up to this picturesque pool garden. The air conditioned bedrooms are both very large and roomy, with a comfy king bed dressed in quality cotton linens, relaxing daybed lounge, huge LED tv, plus blackout curtains for glass sliding doors. Both bedrooms include large ensuite with spacious open shower (one suite also has a bath tub). The very massive living area includes several big daybed lounges, a beautiful large dinning table in central area, then a huge open kitchen with free standing island bench and all the necessary appliances, dishes and cutlery required for any cooking needs. Outside is a beautiful open covered BBQ area with prep bench and large dinning table. Most importantly, the staff and management are truely amazing. Manager Gede was always contactable for any queries or extra needs. Daily professional cleaning service, plus fresh linens every 3 days, included. For my husbands birthday, the staff decorated the garden with broken flower peddles laid in amazing designs and a birthday greeting for him, and a lovely arrangement on the dinning table. Truely amazing! This Villa is located in a quiet residential area about 10min drive to Ubud city with easy access to taxi service.

As a Bali regular I am quite familiar with all the locations and can generally assess the expected condition and age of a property by the furnishings etc. When I stumbled across Villa Sierra the clarity of the photos showed all the details that were important to me and in relation to the price I considered it just right. However, after receiving the first correspondence by Vanessa ( Host) I knew this place was going to be extra special. Her information was detailed and precise and easy to understand, not just on the Villa but on Visa requirements etc The Villa Manager ( Sunny) and his Team are super responsive and very fast to respond and fix anything we required. The Villa itself is perfectly located just off Eat St. It felt very safe walking the 50 metres and although we had Scooters this is perfectly located for easy access if just walking. Each separate Villa is very spacious, impeccably clean, and adequately furnished. The wardrobe has ample hanging space ( with hangers supplied) and it was good to have bedside tables with actual draws as it is rare in some Bali Villas for this price range. The Bed was super comfy and Air con worked well. One feature which made me select Sierra was the Pool area gets the Sun all day and has enough outdoor seating with the option of shade or Sun beds. The kitchen is well equipped and again those little details like Tea, coffee & sugar provided just added that extra touch. I would highly recommend this Villa and I am sure whatever else this great Aussie Host has available would also be worth considering as it hassle-free and faultless! I'm a fussy traveller and I could not fault our stay at the villa. It was so beautiful and tranquil and as everyone says the photos don't do it justice. Putu, Made, Kadek and the rest of the team were so helpful, but also knew when to step back, which is a rare skill. An added bonus is the team can offer local tours that are informative and great value. Exceptional!

We live in Bali for a total of 3 months out of the year and know how hard it can be to find a place that looks the same in reality as the photos. This place is perfect. Every aspect. The WIFI is great. It's in our favourite neighbourhood. Really clean and Putu is the loveliest cleaner. Somehow really quiet even though your super close to everything you want. Beautiful big living area that is indoors and protects you from mosquitoes at night but has lots of light from windows and big glass doors for relaxing in the day. Really nice wooden furniture. The manager, Amanda was super helpful and responsive and went out of her way to help. The garden is so nice to wake up to and chill on the beanbags by the pool and look at the palm trees. We used the kitchen a lot and it has everything you need if you want to cook meals. We stayed for 1 month and we felt sad to leave. Thanks so much Stephanie!
