Independent guest suite, with en suite shower, kitchenette - STEAM CLEANED
The beauty of this letting room is that it is an independent guest suite which has the advantage over a b and b or staying in someone’s house in that offers privacy and independence. It has it’s own external access door and is luxury throughout. It comprises of double bed with quality mattress to ensure a good nights sleep. There is a large walk in shower ( big enough for two!) with luxury sink and toilet. A sink unit, breakfast bar and stools, mini fridge, toaster and kettle are provided so that you can make breakfast. It is heated with radiators and underfloor heating and is appointed to a very high standard. There is a wall mounted 49" smart TV and this suite is available for one night stays or more. You have use of a BBQ and there is seating provided in our beautiful guest garden which has a gate out to a circular walk in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. We are in an excellent location for anyone visiting the area and what it has to offer. We offer secure parking on site and are happy to accept medium sized well behaved dogs on request at £5 per night.

We spent one night in this flat, and found it very comfortable. The location near Whitby is good, and would provide very nice walking opportunities although we didn't have the chance to take advantage of this. Communication and attention to detail were excellent. We'd definitely stay here again.
Granny's attic is lovely. Small as expected but very well appointed with quality fittings. The owners are really friendly and very helpful. The bedding and towels are really good quality and the bed is really comfortable. Would certainly recommend. Only10 mins appeoxinto Whitby with a very nice pub at the top of the road as long as you can manage the hill. Easier journey home!!!
We totally loved our stay in a brand new “Granny’s Attick”. We stayed with our dogs, and brought some BBQ food and made use of the beautiful summer house and BBQ. We come to get our dogs groomed at a friends shop Paws ‘n Claws in Marske. And make a little stay over of it and enjoy the beach. Now we’ve found this gem of a place we’ll make sure we’re booked in again. Perfect lovely hosts too. What’s not to love about Cliff Farm Holiday cottages and Granny’s Attick.

About the host
Hosted by Julie Milnes
My husband who is a retired bank manager and myself purchased the property and have put our heart and soul into creating three beautiful cottages and a guest suite which are doggy friendly and all in an idyllic setting. We are offering luxury accommodation for guests who would like a peaceful setting in beautiful surroundings. Our friends thought that we were mad to take on such a large building development and after a while, when the builder had told us that he didn't think anyone would have taken it on unless they were a builder, we began to think our friends were right but it seemed a good idea at the time! We were very naive but we soon learned how to project manage a development of this size and quickly realised that there was a lot of stress and sleepless nights involved. Because I had a romantic vision of how my little hamlet should look and nothing else would do, the budget, as you see on TV programmes was blown out of the water but second best simply would not do in my mind. I hope you will be impressed with the results.
Why they chose this property
Please note, the service charge is not a fee that we have created, it is in effect a booking fee to the advertising company. Great location!!!!!The setting is peaceful and feels like you are away from it all, yet you are handy for Whitby (4 miles). Other beaches like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes are only a short drive away. We are close to local tourist attractions such as Goathland ( "Heartbeat country") and Grosmont where you can catch the steam train of a bygone era. You feel like you are far from the madding crowd but can be amongst it in no time at all. We are nestled in the valley which is a very sheltered position, with beautiful views over the hills of the National Park. ALL COTTAGES ARE TRIMMED FOR THE FESTIVE SEASON DURING THE MONTH OF DECEMBER.
What makes this property unique
Quiet yet extremely well located The cottages and guest suite are newly converted with full commercial hot water and gas central heating and all up to date thermal regulations, making sure your winter stay is very cosy. There is also the added benefit of a log burning stove in the three cottages for that romantic feel but you will not need it to feel warm. A dog washing facility has been installed from January 2016.
