About this property

Comfortable family home in Rosyth, Fife

Located within a quiet cul-de-sac, the house is within easy walking distance of ample local shops and amenities, including a train station. Well located for visiting Edinburgh, Perth, Stirling and Glasgow, as well as the many golf courses throughout Fife. The Ferrytoll Park and Ride is under a 5 minute drive away, where you can take the bus to Edinburgh in around 30 minutes.

The house benefits from a smart TV, Wi-Fi, internet, large enclosed rear garden with patio and barbecue area (charcoal barbecue), private parking to the front of the property, log burner, gas central heating and double glazing. All bedrooms have wardrobes and drawers for storage.

Rosyth is centrally located and therefore a good base for visiting Edinburgh, Stirling, Glasgow, Perth or the beautiful East Neuk of Fife. The historic town of Dunfermline, with its impressive Abbey and also famous for being the birthplace of Andrew Carnegie, is a short drive away, where you will find a shopping centre, an array of bars and restaurants and a leisure centre. Pittencrief Park is located in Dunfermline's Town centre, where you can enjoy walks, or a cycle through the many pathways, spotting the wildlife (including peacocks), the children's play park, or visit the Glasshouses, which have a variety of exotic and tropical plants. The award winning Silver Sands beach at Aberdour is around a 10 minute drive away and offers a restaurant on the beach front, where you can enjoy the sea views. The 3 iconic Forth Bridges over the Firth of Forth are less than a 5 minute drive away from the house and are definitely worth seeing. There are a few tour operators who organise sightseeing tours of the Firth of Forth and the bridges by boat.

There are good transport links available. Website details available within the house for a “one stop hub” for travelling in and around Fife.

A true premier host!
This property was all that was stated on Vrbo and more! It is an ideal location close to bus lines and grocery. Also several restaurants that will deliver. The host had detailed instructions and helpful information needed for your stay. The house was very clean and stocked with anything we might need, including the basic food items we needed. We felt very welcomed like it was a home away from home. I would definitely recommend this property and will book again if I return to area. The host was also prompt to return any inquiries/emails with questions.

Wonderful house and host
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Anne's very welcoming and comfortable house. The house had everything we needed (and more) and is very well located for visits to Edinburgh and beautiful Fife. Anne was very responsive, just a short message away for anything we may have needed. Highly recommended!!

Fantastic
Anne is a great host. The house is cosy, clean en has everything you need! Lovely garden. We got a warm welcome and bread, milk, sweets and prosecco. When you come in the house you can start with coffe or tea before you get your own shoppings. We stayed one week and there is enough to see en do within the hour. Take the bus to Edingburg, see and shop in Glasgow, take the coastel route, eat Fish en Chips at Armando´s Fish Bar, take free guided walking tours in the big city´s . it´s a great house and location.

Perfect hub to explore Scotland and Edinburgh
Thanks to the hospitality of Anne and Tom we had a perfect time in that beautiful and very clean house. Communication was perfect with very short response time. We loved the house coz it perfectly equipped with all the things you might need during your stay. We felt very welcome with sweets, some eating for the first dinner and breakfast. All the information Anne provided in advance, in a folder and also as a short welcome summary were very helpful. Small details made the difference from good to best. Edinburgh is just a short drive by car or train away, bridges at Firth of Forth are impressing and even highlands are far but not too far.

Brilliant little home and super host
We had a week's work in Edinburgh and stayed there. Although the commute to city centre is to be considered, we made it work via cheap megabus ticket for the week. The house is comfortable and quiet, lovely garden, had everything we needed. Thank you for hosting us really well 🙏✨
