Edinburgh first visit

Was a safe neighborhood, building was old but clean. Parking can be challenging, but we did get lucky and got a spot! . Bathrooms are small, but the water is hot! Beds were adequate, but could use an upgrade. Not a lot of restaurants near. We did find one great place about a mile away, The Herringbone!! Highly recommend, not many other choices near by, if any! About a 2 mile walk from Edinburgh Castle and Old Town. Did not hear from the property manager until check in time with instructions to get in . Unfortunately, I did not have internet there , thinking to save $ because my husband had it and I could check my internet once I was checked in and had access to wifi. I check my messages that morning, and didn't hear from the property manager at that time. I ended up calling VRBO, Michael tried calling the property manager. They did not pick up. This whole ordeal took close to 45 min. Glad we had a car to wait in. I was freaking out at this point, thinking we couldn't get in and had no place to stay. I finally paid the $$ to get international internet and had a message from the property manager with instructions. I never had to wait till the last minute to get instructions before...Not a great way to start a vacation, but everything went well after that.

In and out is what it’s about.

The accommodation was totally adequate for our needs, being well equipped with appliances. Location is great for getting into the city and great for getting out of the city. Remember it is up a flight of stairs. Street parking can be a lottery. If visiting Edinburgh again, we’d be happy to stay here
