EXCLUSIVE APARTMENT
There is only one gite-apartment at Sous les Arbres which has exclusive use of the facilities described. The apartment consists of self catering accommodation all on one level.

BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS
The main bedroom has a double bed and the bathroom is en-suite. The second bedroom has the choice of a double bed or two single beds and is adjacent to the second bathroom.

LIVING AREA
The living area is open plan with a well equipped kitchen and there are sitting and dining areas. The property has a high speed fibre connection and there is Internet access via WiFi in the apartment, pergola area and around the swimming pool area.

OUTSIDE & SWIMMING POOL
Outside the apartment in the courtyard, there is a pergola with a table and chairs for eating alfresco and a gas barbeque. There is access to the garden and outdoor swimming pool where there is another area with a table and chairs for eating.

NB: Please note that the pool has an alarm but is not enclosed.

PARKING
There is dedicated parking space in the courtyard for your vehicle(s).

NB: The closest charging point for electric vehicles is 3.5km from the property.

THE MAIN HOUSE & LARGE GARDEN
Your hosts live on site and your comfort and privacy is our main priority. Sous les Arbres is a lovely stone built country house with an exclusive gite-apartment for our guests. The house is nestled into the hillside, surrounded by trees and beautiful views. The sound of birds is wonderful and if you are lucky you may see deer and other animals in the garden. If you like walking and exploring, there are countryside walks straight from your door.

THE AREA
Cassagnal is a small hamlet in the commune of Montagudet at the end of a small lane, situated less than ten minutes from Lauzerte, a pretty bastide town that is very popular for it's night markets in the summer. For walkers, Lauzerte is on Le chemin de St Jacques de Compostelle route, and also on the Chemin de grande randonée de Pays GRP.

Country gite close to Lauzerte and the Chemin de Saint Jacques path.

Lovely gite in a beautiful setting. Had everything we needed for our week’s stay. Barry and Theresa are lovely hosts always on hand if needed. Being walkers themselves they were very helpful when it came to planning hikes in the area. Plenty of places to relax around the pool with views of the garden and countryside. Would definitely recommend this Vrbo and look forward to hopefully visiting again.

Barry and Theresa are excellent hosts. The gite was fully prepared for our arrival. There was everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and everything was spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable and plenty of pillows and blankets. A washing machine was in the bathroom. There was a full cooker and hob and a microwave. There is a fridge freezer and a good coffee machine. Outside there was table and chairs and numerous seating areas around and near the pool. The pool was kept immaculate and cleaned daily. We cannot recommend this property highly enough. Thank you Barry and Theresa

We spent there, in this little piece of paradise, a very good time. Theresa and Barry are nice and very concern about the comfort of their guests. They respect our privacy and are always ready to listen and help if needed. If you need some information on nice walk and visit of market of cities, they have good information to share. Swimming pool is crystal clear and very well cleaned. You have in this little part of the house all you need, nice and clean kitchen with all you need to prepare you meals. Material, chairs and parasols are good. Nice garden and well maintained. Beds could be adapted if needed. Telecom has been adapted during our stay and is working fine, but you don’t go their to fall in multimedia, just to rest and profits of the nature, birds, big and small. We recommend this place. We had their a nice and restful stay. Thank you Theresa and Barry. Take care.

Nous avons passé un Superbe séjour Merci à Theresa et Barry pour leur grand discrétion ainsi que leur disponibilité qui nous ont permis de passer un agréable séjour, Jardin gigantesque tres entretenu magnifique plus jolie que sur les photos ! La piscine est sensationel L hébergement très bien équipé, et reste très frais malgres la chaleur extérieur très appréciable (Commodité à 8 minutes en voiture intermarché pharmacie boulangerie ) Merci encore !

Although we had read the comments from other people we were more than pleasantly surprised with the way Theresa and Barry run the gite. Upon arrival we got a great reception and a tour to show us around. If one is into nature and silence this is the place to be. Everything one could need was available and our hosts were always discretely available (even at dinner time when we ran out of gas for the BBQ). It is a great area for walking and discovering little but very beautiful villages. We are considering to return in a couple of years. Congratz Theresa and Barry and thank you very much for this place "sous les arbres" but which also could be called "heaven on earth"

Fabulous country Gite.

If you're looking for a quiet country property that is tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you would need then this is the place for you. Spotlessly clean with high spec furnishings and equipment. Set in beautiful gardens with a fabulous pool for your exclusive use. The owners are on hand for any queries but are discreet allowing you your privacy. Loved our stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend to others.

We are semi-retired and moved to France in 2016. Theresa enjoys painting and has a studio in the attic. Barry enjoys working with his hands and enjoys gardening and DIY. Nature lovers at heart, we both enjoy walking in and around the area and exploring the French countryside. We love the local markets, especially the night markets during the summer months.

Nestled into the hillside, our location is surrounded by trees and beautiful views. We love being able to walk straight from the door into the lovely countryside and enjoy the flora and fauna. A nice place to just be!

What makes this property unique

We think that the reviews from our guests speak for themselves - please take a look at them. As the apartment is partially at ground level, it helps to keep it cooler during the hottest months of the summer. The property is built from local Quercy stone and the pool has views across the countryside. You might observe buzzards or eagles riding the thermals above you when having a swim. It's highly likely that you will see deer wandering through the grounds during your stay.
