The highlight of the cottage is the charming covered terrace, offering stunning views of the medieval town of Seggiano - perfect for unwinding and soaking in the natural beauty of the surroundings.

Castagnatello is a captivating 15th-century estate, lovingly restored and set in an idyllic location between Monte Amiata and the stunning Val d’Orcia. Perched on a hilltop, the property offers spectacular views of the medieval village of Seggiano and the rolling slopes of Monte Amiata, creating an atmosphere of peace and serenity.
Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, Castagnatello features six elegantly furnished apartments, accommodating up to 24 guests in total. Each apartment has its own panoramic terrace or veranda with direct access to the surrounding gardens. In the beautifully landscaped garden, you’ll find a large infinity pool (8x16 meters) that overlooks the countryside, as well as two barbecue areas perfect for convivial gatherings.

Beautiful views and more

We had a wonderful stay at Noce cottage - it was spotless and had all the amenities we needed for our family of four. The terrace was lovely with the most spectacular views. The pool was pristine. We visited nearby towns and sampled local wine plus visited Saturnia hot springs - a worthy day trip. Only 10 min to grocery store and hospital but a world away - like being back in time. The owner was communicative and offered great suggestions. This place is very special. We would highly recommend it!

A fantastic property in a stunning setting.

My daughters and I spent a fantastic week in the Noce cottage. The property was of a very high standard, with great kitchen facilities and a balcony overlooking the valley below. The pool was also of a high standard, in a lovely garden setting and also with great views over the valley. Our hosts Nathan and Gaia were very helpful and friendly, full of useful local information. There was plenty to see in the local area, but we also managed day trips to Siena, Florence and Castiglione della Pescaia.

The Perfect Place for a Holiday in Tuscany

We spent a fantastic week at the Castagnatello country house. The apartment was lovely and we particularly enjoyed eating on the veranda outside with beautiful views of Seggiano and Monte Amiata. We had some regenerating days at the pool - which is spacious, clean and offers a stunning panorama as well. Castagnatello is also perfeclty located to visit all the Val D'Orcia historic towns: we especially loved Pienza and its famous cheeses! I would definetly recommend Castagnatello for a relaxing holiday in Tuscany. Alison Cowell - Bolton

We live between Italy and the UK, were we both worked as scientist for about 10 years.
When our first son Alex was born we decided to settle in Tuscany... no regrets so far!

Castagnatello is an elegant example of a Tuscan Estate at its best, the area is really beautiful, far from the tourist crowd and deserved to be discovered.

What makes this property unique

Castagnatello is a beautiful stone made estate. Incredible are also the countryside views: really stunning!
The location is also great: we are between the Val d'Orcia (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the Amiata mountain.
The countryside between the Amiata and the Val d'Orcia is undoubtedly one of the nicest in Tuscany. Last but not least we are just an hour away from the charming seaside.
