About this property
Borgo Spagnoli Farmhouse
The territory
The Borgo Spagnoli Agriturismo is inside the medieval walls of Monte Colognola. Culturally and geographically, the territory remains fascinatingly defined, in the language and in the landscape, as well as in the flavors of cooking and traditions. Art and nature of the Etruscan and Roman civilizations, are found in every corner of the Umbrian territory; small and large historical centers testify to the great season of the Middle Ages. Like Monte Colognola, a small village situated on a hill overlooking Lake Trasimeno, at an altitude of 400 meters, which has the distinction of preserving almost intact its ancient medieval appearance, with its boundary walls and entrance doors. The Castle, in limestone with terracotta inserts, was built between the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, when the inhabitants of the underlying Pian di Carpine rebelled against the Gerosolimitani horses who had control of the territory around the lake.
Il Borgo
Pleasantly protected from the massive and ancient walls inside Borgo Spagnoli, you will find corners where you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view and, in the quiet of unspoiled nature, admire the Borgo Spagnoli farm, with its 13,500 olive trees arranged in 200 hectares of land, from whose fruits we extract the very valuable oil. The harmonious coexistence of the green hills of the property, with the enchanting view of the lake, make Borgo Spagnoli a place of particular charm.
The flats
The Borgo Spagnoli Farmhouse offers not only the magic of ancient times, but all the modern comforts in its renovated apartments with shades of Mediterranean colors. All are identical in the search for the quality of furnishings and design accessories, while maintaining their uniqueness. Borgo Spagnoli offers its guests also equipped outdoor areas, such as the swimming pool and large gardens where to spend moments of relaxation and enjoy the scenery.
