About this property
STUNNING SHEPHERDS HUT WITH HOT TUB IN BEAUTIFUL RURAL CHESHIRE, NEAR NANTWICH
A beautiful, luxurious and bespoke-built Shepherds Hut located in rural Cheshire, a field away from the Llangollen canal, near Nantwich.
Traditional on the outside, modern and contemporary on the inside.
A private hot tub available for your exclusive use, available 24 hours a day all year round, at your pleasure.
Spoilt for choice with an abundance of excellent pubs – whether for dining or just popping in for a drink during a walk along the famous Sandstone Trail, the canal or the numerous trails.
The Space
The Hut has been handcrafted by one of the UK’s most respected manufacturers with the overall design ensuring that the exterior appearance reflects the features of a traditional Shepherds Hut, whilst the inside is fresh and contemporary with all the amenities of a comfortable, cosy and romantic getaway suitable for visits across all four seasons of the year.
Staying at Withy Meadow Shepherds Hut is a special experience. Situated in a stunning location overlooking open natural countryside and green fields, giving the feeling of being close to nature in your own quiet, private world. With the Llangollen canal just 100 metres away through the field, and around a 45-minute walk to the pubs and a village shop along the canal, it provides an ideal setting for romantic breaks or for couples who just want to re-connect or chill out by getting away from the routine stresses of everyday life.
The hot tub provides a wonderful experience to enjoy after a walk, or watching the sunset (and yes also the sunrise!), or just listening to the barn owls, your own music or watching the red kites and pheasants that abound the area.
The hut has been carefully designed internally to maximise the available space and the décor.
- The integral kitchen area comprises of a hob, combi microwave/full oven, fridge/freezer, Belfast sink, extractor fan, toaster and kettle.
- The “accommodation” section in the middle of the hut includes a king size double bed, settee, smart TV set with integrated DVD player (with Netflix included when you connect to 4G over your mobile phone), wall mounted electric heater and stowaway eating table and chairs.
- Leading off the bedroom area is the en-suite with shower, wash basin, toilet, heated towel rail, extractor fan, and bath robes for use with the hot tub.
The patio area in the front of the hut is furnished with the hot tub, table and chairs, and a fire pit fully supplied with wood, matches and fire starters.
Withy Meadow Shepherds Hut is the perfect place for creating memories which will last a lifetime with the special person in your life.
Guest access
Guests have their own private parking 25m from the hut, which is accessed via a private pathway leading to the hut directly from the parking area.

About the host
Hosted by Chris & Sue Goodwn

We are a "retired" couple who have made a lifestyle decision to step down from the corporate ladder to have the time to enjoy the lovely home we have created for ourselves in the countryside - while we have relative youth on our side!
Both of us are very active around our 2-acre property and love to walk with our 2 dogs and go cycling. We have a great social life with many good friends living between Nantwich and Chester.
As our children all live some distance away from us - including Australia - we look forward to welcoming them "home" whenever they are able to get to us. We are also grandparents to 2 beautiful granddaughters.
We love cooking together and entertaining at home, many of our friends making an event of their visit to us by staying overnight, often continuing on to breakfast in the morning. Outside of our home, the many classy (gastro) pubs located within 5-10 miles from us, are a constant magnet, and their variety ensures that we never get tired of eating out.
Sue has lived in and around Nantwich most of her life and has a great knowledge of the area and its history. After all who would want to move away from an area that boasts so much, including - the Nantwich Show and the biggest and best International Cheese Show in the world, the local Food and Jazz Festivals, the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power, the Equerry International Horse Show and Carfest at Bolesworth Castle, and of course the natural attraction of the historic Roman City of Chester, and its renowned Zoo with over 1.9 million visitors each year.
Our hobbies really revolve around our country lifestyle, socialising, keeping healthy, travelling and enjoying what the world has to offer around us, having said goodbye to the pressures of our former corporate lives.
