Little house near the center of Columbia Falls. 16 miles from the west entrance of Glacier National Park and only 35 miles to Polebridge. YOU DO NOT NEED GLACIER PARK RESERVATIONS IF you enter the park before 6:00 am or if you visit the park after 5:30 pm. Fenced yard, pets are negotiable! Off street parking. Enjoy a fire at night and barbeque to your hearts content. This quaint little home will welcome you with open arms after an exhausting day of breathtaking sights that Glacier Park has to offer. A small refundable pet deposit of $125 is required. There could be other guests on the premisis at the same time so please be friendly!
The owner works for Glacier National Park in the St. Mary district of the park so feel free to ask any questions regarding road conditions and park information.

The Kottage was a perfect place for us!! My best friend and I stayed for 3 nights and it had everything we needed. Super clean and tidy, great location, check in was super easy. Highly recommend!
We had a great stay here, and the host was very flexible and allowed us to extend our stay by a day. No bugs seen as some other reviews have mentioned, and there’s some train noise but nothing unmanageable. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Walking distance to downtown. New to the area, the neighborhood felt a bit neglected. Property itself was nice. The train is very close and passes by frequently.
The kottage was very clean and had everything we needed! Washer/dryer was a huge plus, as we only packed carry-ons for the week. Neighborhood had some good food options and we were pretty close to the park’s West entrance. There are railroad tracks nearby that trains frequently use, but the hosts provide a box fan and a sound machine that made it easy to sleep! Great stay!
The Kottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is fantastic! We had our bicycles which made getting around town a breeze. I would recommend to anyone that want to be close to the park without the crowds of Whitefish.
In town for a bike race in Whitefish and exploring Glacier. This location was perfectly situated for accessing both locations and the perfect size for 1-2 adults. Kitchen space is a little tight but can make do. And of course there is the train but you get used to it. All in all a great stay and would come back.

This is a cute little place. It’s very neat, tidy, and clean. As a solo traveler with a dog, it was so nice to have a fenced in yard for my dog to enjoy. Only 15 miles from GNP and 1.5 hours from Canadian border. I would definitely recommend staying here.
The teakettle kottage was close to everything. The cabinets are well stocked. The checking process was easy, we did not stay in the room very much, we were out exploring the park and other nearby towns. Will stay here again if we get to come back.

Loved the Teakettle Kottage!!! It was perfect for our needs and communication was great. Thank you so much!!!
Reviews warned of train traffic. For some it may not matter. But for us it did. Many trains with many loud horn blowing. I should have paid more attention to reviews. But it did send us to Watertown Canada for a couple of the nites. Unlikely to have gone otherwise and we really enjoyed that.

Kottage
Location is good and close to town but is right by the train so as long as you are not in the cottage much it is fine. The property is ok but definitely small and with a few low cost little TLC items could improve the experience. We bought hangars so the next tenants will have some! . Feels like someone is living there with leftover items in fridge and chipped dishes ietc. No dining table to eat so you need to eat out on on the sofa. Nice washer and dryer. Good communication from owner.
Not what we expected. It had bugs crawling around, not a well equipped kitchen. There was no table to eat on, horrible neighborhood and we did not feel safe. The train noise was horrible and there was no mention of trains before renting. The dishes were all chipped, only 2 drinking glasses to use. There were not any luggage racks for luggage.
Silverware was dirty therefore I had to re wash the pieces before using. Needs better window coverings and a bedroom door. The only positive thing was the bed was comfortable. We need a refund! This is the first time we have not been happy with one of your rentals. Was not described correctly. We were very disappointed with this property.
Wanted to stay 2 nights. Called owner who said he couldn't be responsible for nature. Silverfish, spiders and red beetles were all over the inside. The bed the kitchen the bathroom, everywhere. The owner said he'd send an exterminator the 2nd night. The exterminator said we could not re-enter due to the material he used. I must receive a full refund on this property as we couldn't sleep at all the first night and had to find other accommodations the 2nd night. I told the owner to rent the 2nd night to others and he never responded. I don't think I'll use VRBO anymore if you approve bug invested listings like this on your site.

We liked this place.
It’s is well located. The old signs and memorabilia from the National Forest Service is cool.
It’s cabin-like. The light was very bright in the all rooms in the morning. (This was July.). We are late sleepers, so we just used some trash bags and a little duct tape on the windows.
It is near train tracks. That didn’t bother us as we wear ear plugs and use a white noise machine.
There is a nice little porch that is a wonderful place to sit. The yard is neat and tidy.
The TV is perfectly adequate. But there is no cable, and the internet is not quite robust enough to pull FUBO or Sling. You might just have to miss that next episode of The Bachelor.
The AC is solid and was more than up to the very hot days in July.
If you drive in on Second Avenue, be aware. Not all the intersections have stop signs!
The place is supplied with a coffee maker and coffee and filters. But if your prefer your coffee as a cup of cream and sugar, you will need to bring those yourself.
Really nice place.

Improvements could be made
Small inexpensive things could improve the experience. There was leftover food from previous renters in the refrigerator, and in the cupboards that was a little disgusting. It’s nice to have spices and oils, but leftover condiments/salad dressing and half eaten bags of potato chips should never be left for new renters. The one ice tray in the freezer next to the leftover ice cream, was cracked and broken and useless. There were no hangers in the closet to hang clothes up, the plates and glasses had chips in them, there was no Kleenex, there was not adequate coffee, and there was no soap for the shower. The lawn could have used some mowing also. The towels could be upgraded. It appeared that there was somebody sleeping in the camper in front of our place. That made it a little creepy.
A little afraid to write a review because if more people realize what a GEM this place is, I’m afraid it’ll be unavailable when we want to book it next time! :) This week was our second time here and it’s the only place we ever want to stay in Columbia Falls! Super cute, excellent location, clean, perfect for a couple and pups. We just checked out today and are already looking at dates for next year!
Teakettle Kabin was great! Very comfortable, well-provisioned kitchen (including basics like oil and spices - no more bland meals at a rental!), nice outdoor space. Quiet neighborhood but less than 10-minute walk to a full supermarket, several great restaurants and bars. Really convenient location for exploring the west side of Glacier NP and other beautiful parks and towns in the area. Ignore comments about bugs (saw grand total of one spider in 9 days) and the train (much quieter than the dryer, which was not loud), it's not the Ritz but it's really a lovely place.
We loved this little home and everything thing about it. It was the perfect size for us and we enjoyed our stay here for four nights. We washe clothes and used the heat because we had cold nights because of the cold, wet weather. It was very cozy. Our dogs loved the back yard. We recommend this little cottage to anyone looking for a place to stay. It is close enough to Glacier Park to drive and and we enjoyed the restaurants in Columbia Falls.
We found Teakettle Cottage to be very cozy for the two of us and our pup. There is a good sized yard for our dog to wander around and is fenced. Yes, there is train noise. I wore earplugs so it didn’t bother me. Otherwise neighborhood very quiet. Driving distance to Glacier is only about 20 minutes = we left between 5-6AM so we could enjoy the park before the crowds. Watch out for deer on the road on the way! Multiple restaurants only a few blocks away. Bring your own shower supplies like shampoo/conditioner as not provided. Great to have a washer/dryer as we were covered with dust due to road work/rough gravel roads in park. Air conditioning was a treat after days close to 100 degrees. Internet worked great for streaming Netflix, etc. Host very responsive.
