If you seek peace, tranquility, privacy and security in a beautiful setting, this is the place for you.
Rancho Alameda is a private oasis surrounded by adobe walls. Entry through a remote controlled gate invites you into a sanctuary of trees and gardens.
The casita is a free standing house, featuring a one bedroom, Queen bed, fully equipped kitchen,radiant heat, skylights and great room with French doors leading to a private patio surrounded with topiary. Outside the bedroom is a meditation garden. All utilities are included plus High speed Internet, Cable TV, Netflix, Hulu, etc. W/D in unit, non-smoking,
Parking is inside the compound, next to the residence.
Rancho Alameda is located two miles west of the Santa Fe Plaza.
A nearby walk/run/bike trail leads directly into downtown Santa Fe. Two equestrian centers are within the immediate area. Outside the entry gates a large arroyo offers a multitude of hiking trails over ancient pueblo land.
All amenities have been carefully thought out for a fastidious individual who appreciates nature and beauty. It is best suited for one person.
An initial 3 month rental term is preferred. Long term is available.
We are New Mexico Safety Certified and follow strict safety/cleaning protocol.

Beautiful Gardens

The casita was set in the beautiful gardens of a gated compound. The owners home is located within the compound so, in the event you need anything, the response was immediate. The property is well located in a quite neighborhood. The unit is spacious and well appointed. We look forward to returning.

October in Santa Fe

I was fortunate to find this lovely spot for a peaceful and relaxing month in Santa Fe. I especially appreciated the Santa Fe ambience of Carol's property, the inviting outdoor spaces, and the fully equipped Casita. Carol is a very thoughtful and responsive host. While she lives on the property and is available if you need anything, she is also totally respectful of her guests' privacy. Note: If you're a late sleeper like me, bring a sleep mask as there are no window coverings. I look forward to returning!

High Desert Retreat

A friend and I decided to take a last-minute road trip to Santa Fe and luckily came across this wonderful listing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful and thoughtfully appointed space filled with personal touches and lovely surrounding gardens. I would absolutely stay again!

Wonderful House in private setting

We spent a week in the wonderful property that is very private in the middle of a beautiful setting of trees, flowers and gardens. Carol who lives on the property was very helpful with places to eat and hike. My Wife and I can't wait to return to this paradise.

LOVED The Casita at Rancho Alameda! Beautiful and secure location. Was traveling by myself around New Mexico for a week. Great central location to visit: Santa Fe, Albuqurque, and Taos areas. Owner, Carol, gave great suggestions and was very welcoming. Only (small) complaint was that bed was a little firm for my liking.

Beautiful but room for a little improvement

Very well kept property and beautiful grounds. The little house is just as pictured, pretty as can be and Carol was mostly responsive. We found the bed a bit uncomfortable and the window-full bedroom lacks drapes which wasn't ideal for us. We couldn't use the pots and pans as they had very scratched teflon but there was one glass pyrex we could use to warm up water in the mornings. Check-in time can't be past 7pm so we lost our money for the first night as there was zero flexibility with that. Overall, it was worth it.

It was my own private oasis

What a beautiful private and cozy atmosphere. It was always so nice to come back to after being out and about exploring the Santa Fe area. Carol was very warm and accommodating and even had eggs and real cream in the fridge, as well as, good coffee available for us to use. We had a little snack waiting for us after a long trip, which we devoured! I sent pictures to friends who were envious. I would love to come back here again ! Lovely Private Getaway!

Even though we visited in the off-season, my husband and I truly enjoyed our stay in this cozy casita. It had everything we needed to enjoy an "evening in"; a nearby co-op- Sprouts, and great restaurant- Atrisco. We were also minutes from downtown Santa Fe. Carol was thoughtful, friendly, and unobtrusive. A bottle of wine and snacks welcomed us. And what a gardener she is! We definitely want to return when everything is in full bloom.

A peaceful retreat with beautiful gardens

My husband and I spent 11 nights at this charming casita. It was just a few minutes drive from downtown Santa Fe but far enough away to escape the hustle and bustle. The casita is located on grounds behind stucco walls and was a peaceful, quiet setting. We delighted in exploring the garden and finding the many artistic items tucked away in the landscape. The owner, Carol, was friendly and readily available to answer any questions. Although she lives on the grounds, it never felt intrusive to us. The casita itself was wonderful, light-filled, clean and comfortable. For us, our only caution is that the kitchen is small and not particularly equipped for anything beyond basic cooking. But that only encouraged us to eat out more frequently at Santa Fe's many good restaurants! This was a perfect retreat for us and would readily recommend it to others.
