Villa with 2 bedrooms, BBQ and private pool on Praia do Carvoeiro

Spacious villa within walking distance of the beautiful village of Carvoeiro and close to the Vale da Pinta and Gramacho golf courses.

Vila Maria João is a charming two bedroom villa with private pool, which is surrounded by a large terrace, situated in the quiet neighborhood of Mato Serrão, on the outskirts of the center of Carvoeiro (about 1.3 km from the center of Praia do Carvoeiro ).

The house has a double master bedroom with double bed and en suite bathroom and a twin bedroom (with 2 single beds) which is served by a second bathroom. Both rooms have air conditioning.

The living / dining room is a large, airy and comfortable lounge with TV.

Two large windows open onto the terrace and there is a BBQ built next to the pool area with plenty of outdoor dining. The pool has 7mx4m and a maximum of 2m deep. There are also sun loungers and mattresses on the pool patio and a staircase leading to the roof terrace above the house.

Inside, the kitchen is fully equipped, with refrigerator, stove, oven, kettle, washing machine and dish washing.

Prices include cleaning service, bed linen and bath towels.

Faro Airport is a 40-minute drive away. Lisbon airport 2.5 hours drive. Car hire is not essential and taxis are readily available, but most people rent a car so you can explore the surrounding countryside and local attractions. Numerous restaurants and bars nearby - The highly recommended Orange Restaurant just 500 meters from the villa.

Viagem aos anos 80

Foi claramente uma viagem aos anos oitenta que teria tudo para ser uma excelente estadia, só que ao invés disso foi uma verdadeira desilusão e aventura que, como é óbvio, nos fez sentir defraudados…. Efectivamente a casa está muito bem situada, possui um espaço exterior ideal para quem tem animais, contudo existe um terrível descuido (excedendo a falta de brio e de cuidado) no que respeita às comodidades que a casa supostamente deveria de possuir. Não está aqui em causa tudo ter mais de 30 anos mas sim o nada ou quase nada estar em bom estado ou funcionar (tipicamente a mentalidade de já não está bom vai para a casa de férias ), desde lençóis completamente gastos alguns dos quais com remendos, a cadeiras partidas, sofá completamente cheio de nódoas, coxins sujos e rotos, loiça lascada espreguiçadeiras rasgadas envoltas em fita cola ressequida, tudo estava péssimo! Para além do mais e para pior a situação não podíamos ter mais que dois aparelhos eléctricos ligados caso contrário o quadro eléctrico ia constantemente abaixo. Para ajudar a festa o jardineiro e a empregada de limpeza entravam em casa sem qualquer aviso prévio fazendo-nos sentir que estávamos ali quase que por favor! Face a tudo NÃO RECOMENDO a casa !

Coin magnifique maison agréable et piscine parfaite

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette maison, l’endroit est magnifique, une petite vue sur la mer qui est très agréable à voir. Néanmoins il y’a un petit défaut dans la maison. Il manque une climatisation car il y’a eu des jours de fortes chaleurs et surtout les nuits étaient très difficile. Je précise aussi que le jardinier et le pisciniste viennent tous les 2 jours sans vous prévenir et bien sûr sans sonner à la porte et rentrent comme bon leur semble. C’est très désagréable quand vous vous y attendez pas et surtout quand vos enfants sont dans la piscine et qu’il vous demande d’en sortir pour l’entretien de l’eau et de ne pas y rentrer pendant au moins deux heures. Mais sinon c’est une maison très sympa

Déçus car la villa est vieille et cela se ressent sur beaucoup de points : -l'électricité n'est pas aux normes partout dans la maison (j'ai dû acheter une rallonge pour pouvoir brancher ma machine respiratoire dans la chambre) - l'utilisation des plaques de cuisson en simultané fait sauter le compteur électrique une fois sur deux - il n'y a pas de wi-fi, ni TV par satellite (même si on ne vient pas en vacances pour regarder la télé...mais c'est appréciable) - une lampe de chevet manquait ( il a fallu appeler pour la faire remplacer) - et même si cela ne m'a pas mis en danger, il y avait des produits dangereux pour des jeunes enfants qui traînaient dans le garage (ammoniaque, javel...) - la personne qui devait nettoyer la piscine n'est jamais passé Les points positifs : la situation, la terrasse, le calme... Bref, pour avoir déjà loué des villas à Carvoeiro, c'est loin d'être notre meilleure expérience...

The property is functional and it’s best asset is definitely the private pool

The property provided everything we needed it was a little further from carvoeiro than I expected and did prefer to use a car to get into the centre and for accessing the beach. The property did not have English channels on the tv but this was not a problem as we all have iPads etc. The WiFi was good and Patricia made us feel very welcome and was contactable throughout if required. We had a cleaner mid week who changed the towels and cleaned the villa which was a nice gesture, and as I’ve said before the pool was lovely.
