Farmhouse cottage - within 7 acres with large garden on the edge of Exmoor
Bramble Cottage is part of a smallholding on the edge of Exmoor with views to Holdstone Down, tucked away down a lane but within easy reach of all that North Devon has to offer. Exmoor is a 5-minute drive away with stunning walks and cosy gastro-pubs such as the Pyne Arms, Hunter's Inn and the Black Venus. The Michelin starred Kentisbury Grange is just around the corner. The sweeping sandy beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde, Saunton and Puttsborough are a 15 minute drive away and there are more pebbly beaches closer such as Combe Martin, Heddons Mouth and Hele Bay. The cottage, which has been recently renovated, has two bedrooms that sleep 4/5, a modern family bathroom, a brand new kitchen, and a large lounge diner. There is a small enclosed courtyard at the entrance of the house and there is also a large shared garden with a trampoline, BBQ facilities and various seating areas across the lane. There is parking for one car. The property has been renovated to a very high standard. It has underfloor heating throughout downstairs and a log burner in the lounge for cosy evenings in. It is set within a smallholding that has dogs, cats, Golden Guernsey goats, OSB pigs, Black Welsh mountain sheep, chickens, and a large variety of other wildlife. We are hoping for lambs and kids this year all due in the month of April and May so there will be many cuddling opportunities. You can get as hands on with the animals as you like.

Lovely little place for our family of 5 plus dog. Lovely hosts, welcomed us in with a cake and invited the kids to feed the goats. 5 minute drive to Combe Martin Wildlife Park.

This beautiful cottage is a hidden gem. Perfectly located for exploring the North Devon coast and Exmoor countryside. The cottage is clean, beautifully furnished, warm and well equipped. Sarah looked after us and we enjoyed meeting the farm animals. I'm sure children would absolutely love helping feed them. We loved our stay!

Thank you so much. You, Colin and Evie were an absolute delight. We’d love you to come again.
Wonderful cottage in a lovely area of the country with amazing local beeches not far away. Cottage had been recently refurbished so everything was very clean and almost new. Children were fascinated by the goats in the yard next to the cottage and we’re out there many times a day stroking the babies.
Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Even left us a homemade cake on arrival which was lovely!

Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for being the perfect guests and hopefully see you again one day!
A beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. The owners were extremely friendly and we were greeted with a very tasty homemade cake and fresh eggs upon arrival. The cottage is of very high quality and was very clean. Our kids were very excited to be able to pop out to see the goats first thing each morning and give them a fuss - they were lovely animals and our boys were very sad to say goodbye to them! Combe Martin is close by and great for sea kayaking and crabbing, with the surf beaches of Woolacombe and Saunton just a 20 min drive. We had a fantastic week packed with fun!

Thank you so much for your review. It was a pleasure to host you. The perfect family - polite, friendly, clean, interested and interesting.
We loved the space downstairs, which is often hard to find with cottage stays. Best nights sleep I've had in months and lots of fun meeting the goats, chickens, ducks, sheep, pigs, cats...would defijitely recommend it.
With children who love animals, as well as trips to the beach, this proved to be an ideal location. The property was perfect for our needs, and the Victoria Sponge that greeted us on arrival was very much appreciated.
Sarah / Garry, have been in regular contact since the time of booking, answering any questions that we had and also providing great info regarding places to visit. A really great family stay!
Bramble Cottage is a lovely holiday home for a family. Sarah and Garry were extremely friendly and welcoming hosts! We were greeted with Sarah’s delicious Vitoria Sponge and fresh eggs from their own chickens. The kids (and our dog) absolutely loved the adorable goats who are very friendly - the kids are allowed to help with the feeding wich really went down well with our 9 year old. They absolutely adored the sheep as well and loved the trampoline. Bramble cottage was very recently done up, very tastefully and stylishly. The location is ideal to explore the very nearby North Devon coast, with Combe Martin only a few minutes away, Woolacombe Beach (beach of the year 2021) 20min, Lynton and Lynmouth just 20min and Ilfracombe just 10min. We had an absolutely lovely week, thank you!

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. It was a pleasure to host you. Hopefully see you one day in the future!
The property was lovely and clean and perfect for my family. We loved waking up and being greeted by the goats. My dog loved them even more. We went to Woolacombe most days and it was a 15 min drive away so not too far. The dog friendly pubs that were recommended were again a short distance away and served delicious food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Property was everything we wanted and more! Facilities excellent in a great location to explore Devon.
