About this property
Restored 17th Century Villa with Swimming Pool, Chef's Kitchen+WiFi+AC
Villa Bracchi is a stunningly restored property sitting on 2.4 Ha (6 acres) located in the Alta Langa closest to the villages of Dogliani, Bossolasco, Monforte d'Alba, Barolo, Serralunga d'Alba, Castiglione Falletto, La Morra, and Alba. I purchased my first property, Villa San Lorenzo (VRBO #93138) in 2005 and it has been such a wonderful experience that I decided to purchase this property in the Spring of 2014 because of it's unique location providing incredible views of the Italian Alps, lots of privacy, and easy country road access to the best that the Langhe region has to offer with some of the most authentic, and highly acclaimed, restaurants and wineries within minutes from the Villa.
I kept the incredible structure of Villa Bracchi in tact while completely rebuilding (gutting) from the ground up including a new foundation, raising the ceiling height on all levels, new interior walls, and a beautiful open wood beam vaulted roof. I have spared no expense in creating each bedroom and bathroom with elegance and charm and modernity. Absolutely every inch of the Villa has been restored by hand using natural stone, sandstone, and wood recovered and restored from the original structure.
There are hardwood floors throughout the entire Villa as well as luxurious rain showers tiled with carrara marble in each bathroom. Each bedroom has a private balcony or terrace.

About the host
Hosted by Clay McLachlan

I fell in love with Piemonte in 2002 on my visit to the region. In 2005 I took the leap and bought Villa San Lorenzo (property 93138 on VRBO) and lovingly restored that property. Clay is a world renowned food, wine, and travel photographer.
Why they chose this property
After purchasing Villa San Lorenzo, I always kept my eye on other properties available in the region. I took the next step by purchasing Villa Bracchi in the Spring of 2014 with the intention of creating a second stunning property in my favourite hamlet of Bonvicino. I oversaw the entire renovation project day by day working with our talented set of artisan builders to bring new life back to this historic property.
What makes this property unique
At Villa Bracchi, I kept the beautiful structure of the Villa intact while taking the opportunity to create a 21st century home outfitted with all modern technology and utilising green technology for heating and building materials in order to make as small a footprint as humanly possible. I think you will love what I have created!
