Great location and house

The house and Deauville lived up to our expectations and we were not disappointed. I was notified prior to our arrival of the cleaning/linen charges for our stay, so was no surprise. Nathalie was very nice and communicated well with us before and during our visit. We would stay here again for sure!

Hidden charges

Property was impressive overall in a good location that was handy for everything. The contact Nathalie who met us there was friendly and tried her very best to help us. I got the impression she was not given any support from the owner to maintain the property and a number of items were needing decoration, repaired or replaced The grass had not been cut or looked after in the garden. Garden furniture was dirty or broken or both and the parasol had to be replaced with the property manager’s own parasol. On top of that we were advised of a €165 charge for cleaning and linen not mentioned on the VRBO site. Instead of admitting her error the owner left it up to the manager to communicate back and forth with us instead of waiving the charge. It took from our 2nd day until our last day there before the owner gave in to pressure from us and Vrbo and waived the charge It was handled with very poor grace and felt sorry for Nathalie the manager who had to act as the go between.
