Picture yourself in the Belgrade Lakes region on one of the best lakes in Maine*** Great Pond***. The lake where the story "On Golden Pond" was written and then later made into a movie. This very clean quaint cozy 2-bedroom cottage is 15 feet from the water on 200 feet of frontage. (Update the master bedroom was just renovated with knotty pine and looks beautiful). Clean water, and swimming, are some of the great features of this cottage. The cottage sleeps 2-4 with a large master bedroom with a queen-size bed and a smaller bedroom with bunk beds Both the master bedroom and living room have an LCD TV with a DVD player Roku, Spectrum, and Free Wifi !!!! It has one bathroom with a shower. Also, there's a picnic table. This is a non-smoking property. Downtown Belgrade is just 10 minutes away with restaurants and a country store. One of the State of Maine's best Golf courses is nearby. (Rowboat and Canoe at the camp are available for a fee). Kyacks are available for rent at a rental store about 2 miles away or bring your own. Augusta is just 15 minutes away with all the amenities you could ask for. Bring your bed linens and towels, (note queen bed takes oversize sheets) we supply the blankets and pillows. Sorry, no pets. Please note that we can't accommodate your boat due to dock weight restrictions and trailer parking.

Very clean, comfortable, quiet and private. Fishing not so good for us as it is mostly a pike lake and we like to fish of other kinds. Great experience with owners and cabin overall.

Great time at the lake

The lake house had everything we needed and was really clean. It was really cool to watch eagles and ospreys flying and fishing, and the loons came right to the dock area and were absolutely beautiful to watch. The lake was a great swimming temperature. We loved to sit in the swing and enjoy a beverage and had a fire every night. Very enjoyable vacation!

Great for the simple life

This is a very nice, clean, well-built cabin deep in the woods with all the basics for a relaxing time at the lake. It has a very nice dock and the house is just 20 feet from beautiful Great Pond. There are both canoe and row boat on property. It is quiet and peaceful with huge trees and a great hammock. It seems well priced but don'y expect an abundance of amenities. Terrific for simple relaxation.

The cottage was exactly what we wanted and needed for two people on a one week vacation. Beautiful location. Very quiet with a very picturesque view of the lake. Very relaxing.

Quintessential Maine Cottage

A quintessential Maine cottage where we enjoyed a relaxing and peaceful week. Great views of the lake with the call of the loons echoing in the mornings and evenings. The owners were very responsive and provided a quick and easy check-in.

We loved our week on Great Pond. The cabin is a great location for morning walks as well as afternoons spent on the water. The owner was great. Very responsive to any inquiry. We can’t wait to go back.

Fantastic spot

Had a great stay at the camp. Location couldn’t be better, right on the water. Camp itself is not huge but has everything you could need, and beautiful views of the lake from the sunroom!

Wonderful summer vacation

The camp was great! It had everything we needed and was set up so cute. Plenty of space and the kids loved the bunk beds. The view was superb. It is on an amazing, beautiful pond that we enjoyed swimming in, fishing, watching the loons and ducks, swinging in the hammock or sitting by the chiminea just relaxing. Great location since very central in Maine. You do have a little drive to get to a restaurant but that’s normal in rural Maine. Everyone was super nice in Maine!

We love staying on great pond. Water is so warm and so many things to do in the area. Camp is comfortable. Shades in the porch for the rising sun would be a great addition. Property very nice and spacious. We enjoyed the swing and hammock! Thank you!
