I moved to the Prescott area in 2007, and after 10 years, I consider myself a true Prescottonian and ambassador of Prescott. question regarding my VRBO rental properties. Although I am getting closer to retirement age, I still am employed in sales management, with a fantastic company in Minneapolis, which enables me to work out of the house. I purchased this property due to its fantastic location to the downtown historic courthouse square. The property has dedicated concrete paved parking perpendicular to the street, in the front, which is very unique for downtown, and the street appeal is outstanding. The property sits in the historic residential neighborhood, so although it is close to downtown it is quiet. Also as a personal investment, with the Great Recession, I like many others was disturbed by my lack of ability to avoid the huge crash in my 401K investments. With this property and marketing under VRBO/HomeAway, I can control my own investment, and I enjoy the interaction with my guests. The measure of success is the tremendous amount of repeat business my properties generate, and the friendships that I have made along the way.
