The Townhouse (VRBO # 1012557) is located in the historic residential area just 2 and a half short blocks from The Historic Downtown Courthouse Square & Whiskey Row. There is a tremendous array of activities at The Square and you are literally only a short 3-to-5-minute walk from The Square and the famous Whiskey Row. Also, checkout my sister property The Terrace (VRBO # 423532), which has a cozy upstairs terrace patio overlooking the historic residential neighborhood.

The Townhouse (VRBO # 1012557) was professionally decorated with a Southwestern Theme. The Townhouse has a King bed in the master bedroom with a 30" Samsung smart TV, and a Queen bed in the second bedroom.

When you arrive and walk out onto The Townhouse rear patio, you can relax, enjoy your favorite beverage and read a book in the privacy of your own backyard. The outside Townhouse patio includes a fenced in backyard, which will be great if you have a dog, and there is a gate to the sidewalk for easy access to walk your dog.

Sitting just above street level, you can sit in the family room and gaze outdoors watching local neighbors stroll the sidewalks of this quiet historic residential area, which The Townhouse is part of.

If you want to go out to eat or experience the local nightlife, Whiskey Row and the Historic Downtown Courthouse Square is just a short 2.5 blocks away. But at night, you are far enough away, such that The Townhouse provides a quiet atmosphere for relaxing or sleep.

The Townhouse is approximately 1,200 square feet with two bedrooms upstairs (King size bed in the master bedroom and Queen bed in the second bedroom), full bath/shower with stackable washer and dryer upstairs. Downstairs there is a completely stocked kitchen including Keurig coffee machine (cook your Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter dinner), nook eating area, powder room and family room with 55' flat screen Samsung smart TV connected to high-definition cable which enables you to stream Netflix and Prime Video, since we have high speed WIFI access.

The Townhouse can easily accommodate two couples or a family of five to six, since we have a Powder room downstairs, and the downstairs couch has a queen size hide-a-bed. Also remember we are pet friendly, so bring the pooch (there is a nominal pet fee).

Comfortable townhouse: Great Location

We rented this cozy townhouse for almost six weeks. It is very clean and nicely decorated. The location is close to Whiskey Row and in a nice neighborhood. The propertyis well managed and it is easy to reach the manager if needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Best Location in Prescott

The property was easy check in and the host actually let us check in a few hours early. Very accommodating and excellent communication. Very clean property. Take a 5 minute walk down the street the property is on and it leads directly to the middle of the courthouse square where all the restaurants, shopping, antiques and Whiskey Row are.

March vacation

Arrived on the 1st from MN and was greeted with 11 inches of snow that night. Snow melted in day or two and the rest of month great. Enjoyed many sight seeing and shopping outings.

My husband and I stayed in this lovely home for the past two years...February and March. We plan to return next year too. The Townhouse has everything you need and more. The owner is so helpful and available for any of your needs. We love walking into the historic town of Prescott; for dinner, shows, shopping, and just taking in all the sites and sounds of this beautiful place. In Prescott, you are central to many of Arizona's National Parks and popular Tourist sites...You will love this place!!

Patio could have been cleaner, spider webs & debris on chairs. It would have been nice to have salt & pepper. Very charming place but could have used better space to put toiletries in the bathrooms. I would recommend Fragrance free laundry detergent. These are small things. We loved staying & enjoyed our visit very much.

Our stay was at the Townhouse unit. It has a nice little patio area in the back (just for the Townhouse unit) with a gas grill which was fairly new and clean. Overall the space is on the small size, particularly the kitchen but if you like it small and cozy then this place is for you. Great neighborhood with beautiful historic bungalows. Short walk to Courthouse park and Whiskey Row. Overall a great experience

Literally a home away from home.

I am so pleased to be at this property. The home is fully furnished, and I want for nothing to be comfortable, safe and happy. I brought my pet who is far more comfortable here than being in a hotel room. The location is literally three blocks away from the court house square where is Whiskey Row; along with a lot of interesting neighborhoods to walk through just to get a vibe for the town. There are plenty of big box stores and shopping within a ten minute drive as well. There are the near by forests within a 15 minute drive (avg. speed limit is 25mph…so hardly far), and the many trails are all varied, so no one could get bored. The people are friendly. The property stewards and The Owners are all stellar; thoughtful, respectful and helpful in every way. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND these properties as a get-away, vacation or needed space for peaceful sojourn. By all means, don’t forget this opportunity should you come this way. I will not forget it at all. Thanks

Cozy wonderfulness

We loved this place! It is extremely comfortable and well thought out. The decor is fun. We slept like babies on the comfy beds and cooked meals in the small but fully equipped kitchen and had a great time. The neighborhood is charming, and downtown is an easy stroll away. There are lots of gorgeous hikes nearby. Coming back to this very cozy home was a joy.

My daughter and I spent a week at Prescott and loved it. Larry the owner of the property called me before we left home and was so welcoming and gave us lots of information about the weather and restaurants. He was available when we had questions and also called us prior to our departure. He was very attentive to our needs. The house is charming, clean, well stocked and we had dinner on the patio one night, which we enjoyed. It is a short walk to whiskey row and the city center, which was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to go back. Larry was a great host!

What a great stay!

We had a really enjoyable stay at Larry's house in Prescott. The property is in the greatest location -- a quick walk to all that downtown Prescott has to offer, and sits in the middle of a quaint, lovely Victorian neighborhood. I moved to the Prescott area in 2007, so I consider myself a true Prescottonian and a qualified ambassador of Prescott (Preskitt). I am recently retired and living the good life. I have owned and operated The Townhouse as a short-term rental since May 2012. The Townhouse has accommodated renters for stays as short as two nights to as long as 7 months.

I got into the renting of Vrbo properties in 2011, when my first property was only the 50th listing in Prescott, where in today's world there is over 350 listings. Since I travel a lot myself, I too have used Vrbo extensively. I look for clean, well-managed properties that are close to local activities with a homey feel, as opposed to the clinical feel of a hotel chain. I strive to run and present a Vrbo experience that is consistent with what I would be looking for.

Why they chose this property

I purchased this property in May 2012 (prior to the boom of short rentals in Prescott), due to its fantastic location to the downtown historic courthouse square. The property has concrete paved parking, which is perpendicular to the street, which is very unique for downtown, and the street appeal is outstanding.
The property sits in the historic residential neighborhood, so although it is close to downtown it is quiet.
I measure my success as the result of the significant number of repeat customers to The Townhouse, and the lasting friendships that I have made along the way with my renters.

What makes this property unique

The uniqueness of this property is the fact that it provides my renters a cozy, comfortable home away from their home, which is so close to all of the activities of the Historic downtown square yet nestled in a quiet well-kept neighborhood. The Townhouse has also served as a temporary home for past renters, who are either giving Prescott a try for a future move or they have purchased a new home that has not yet completed the final construction.
During the summer months, The Townhouse is usually booked for one to three months by retirees from the Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tucson areas, who are escaping the heat.
