I have remodeled every inch of these gems. These houses have great bones and have been a true labor of love for me, right down to the shiplap walls and barnwood mantels! I have a passion for hospitality that really shines through in these comfy home-away-from-homes.

COTTAGE DESCRIPTION
This freshly-remodeled quaint cottage-style 2 bedroom, 2 bath home sits on a quiet tree-lined street right next door to its sister property, The Haven. The home sleeps 8 comfortably with one queen bed in private suite, two double beds in generously-sized 14'x17' suite and sofa bed with upgraded queen-size comfy memory foam mattress.

Gather around a large kitchen table with room for 8, enjoying all the well-stocked, bright and airy kitchen has to offer. The Cottage is also stocked with waffle fixings and a hotel-style flip waffle maker as well as snacks sure to please.

Enjoy the high-speed internet and 50" HDTV (equipped with Roku system) and fireplace in the living area with convenient patio access. A cozy fire table outside and BBQ grill (both are propane) is also available for use in a charming, private outdoor space....perfect for s’mores under the cafe string lighting.

Both bedrooms also have HDTVs with Roku, comfortable bedding with plenty of pillow options...20 to be exact, ceiling fans, and sleep therapy clocks.

The Cottage at Chapel Ridge is ideally located, on the edge of the desirable Woodway/Hewitt area of Waco, within 15 minutes of downtown. For Fixer Upper fans, The Cottage at Chapel Ridge is situated exactly halfway between Magnolia Market at the Silos AND Chip and Joanna's first vacation rental, The Magnolia House. The Cottage has one of Chip’s props from the show...great for a fun photo op!

A public splash pad is available at Chapel Park, just around the corner from the home (1/3 mile away) and is perfect for the kids. Beach towels and sunscreen provided.

No pet fee WITH approval! (Dogs and/or small animals in crates permitted. For allergy reasons, no cats.) The backyard is fully fenced.

100% refund with cancellation more than 14 days of stay
50% refund with cancellation more than 7 days of stay

PARKING-
Guests MUST utilize the private driveway directly behind the home (off-street parking is mandatory at vacation rentals per the City of Waco).

We stayed at The Cottage for a graduation. This spot was perfect for us! It was homey, great communication and hospitality by the hostess, and I appreciated that basics were stocked in the closets. Usually everything is bare I'm VRBOs so this was a wonderful surprise. Our hostess also left a congratulations banner to help us celebrate. I appreciate all of the small welcoming touches of this cute home.

Lori provides extra touches like starter coffee, water, toiletries and her signature peach cobbler. Highly recommend staying here.

The house was cozy, clean, comfortable, and had so may nice touches. The game closet was great. We enjoyed playing games each night. The blankets and beds were very comfortable. The chair in the bedroom with the beds was comfortable and a perfect place to relax or read. The desk in the other bedroom was useful. The kitchen table was big and spacious. She left so many hospitality touches: mini scones and cake bites, ice cream, water, mints, a few bags of microwave popcorn, coffee, and tea. We didn’t touch a lot of it but was so appreciative that it was there if we needed it. I can go on and on. Bottom line - I plan to come back to Waco and look into staying at Lori’s beautiful VRBO again. Location was perfect for us - close to Waco ISD stadium were my son was playing in a soccer tournament, downtown silos a short drive away, as well as the farmer’s market.

I am a former Chicagoan, transplanted in the heart of Texas in 2008 and LOVING it! This town is home to me and I am confident you will find much to enjoy in Waco as well. We live very close to The Cottage at Chapel Ridge and are fond of this area. The "cottage" is perfect for a quick trip or for families needing an inviting place to stay while getting acclimated to the Waco area. This guest home is in the EXCELLENT Midway ISD (Independent School District). The children attend South Bosque Elementary School and River Valley Intermediate.

I taught Spanish (K-12) and English (Higher Ed) for many years and now am enjoying this newer chapter of life. I absolutely love hosting guests at my vacation rentals. I also have been fortunate to grow my business, LULUBELLE'S. You can find LULUBELLE'S shopping spots across town, specializing in vintage clothing, upcycled vintage goods and affordable antiques. You can also visit a LULUBELLE'S pop-up market occasionally down by the Silos, Austin Avenue, or in McGregor!

This comfy home is ideally situated in a quiet neighborhood. In one direction, you can arrive at Baylor, downtown WACO, and HGTV's Chip and Joanna Gaines' Magnolia Market at the Silos within 15 minutes. In the other direction, you can venture to McGregor and visit Joanna Gaines' favorite spots, including the Cedar Chest Antique Mall and their vacation rentals, including their very first one, Magnolia House.
