Our home holds a lot of history being owned by the descendants of Doris Miller "Dorie". We are thankful for our past and present Veterans. You can't go wrong choosing this place. If you are looking for cozy, come be our guest. If you are a Baylor student looking for housing this is your place with everything you need.
Bringing kiddos? We got you covered! There's an oversized trampoline, basketball goal, and swing set in the back yard! Let's not forget the Ms. Pac Man Arcade games inside 😃See you soon.

Besides a delay in getting the door code it was a nice property, very clean and comfortable.

Lots of Heart, Great Communication

The host is friendly, accommodating, great at communication, and has such a beautiful story attached to this property. The location is perfect for a trip to Waco and is just a short drive to anywhere you’ll go. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed our trip. (And the beds are super comfy! 😃) Loved it!

Quiet Neighborhood, Family Space

Unique older home in Central Waco, close to everything we wanted to see. Nice cold AC welcomed us. We remembered American war hero, Doris Miller and celebrated Juneteenth parade. Kids loved the toys and games.

Lovely home with great details from the past

My family stayed here for graduation and really enjoyed it! LaKee was a great hostess and shared some fascinating history with us. They loved the details that had been preserved from the houses origin, built in corner hutches and such details were beautiful. My sister had lovely memories flood back of sleeping at our Grandma’s house with the ac unit humming her to sleep. The big connect 4 kept our younger guest entertained while everyone got ready in the morning. Really great stay and close to Baylor and the park.

The listing fell short of the overall shape and cleanliness of this home. We were utterly disappointed and did not even stay one night here due to the condition. The owner has done a great job taking photos that hide the actual condition of this home. I would not book here again.

Your feedback is invaluable as we are committed to ensuring our listing photos accurately represent the home. We take guest feedback very seriously, and we are disappointed to learn you did not have a positive experience. It is more disappointing you have displayed dishonesty throughout the whole process. You stated the reason for not wanting to stay was due to your wife suffering from a migraine due to clean scents of the home. After reviewing the doorbell camera we learned that your family was fine with the home all except your wife who was complaining before she even went inside the actual home. However a fee was generously waived for you. It was further reviewed that there was an extra guest and a pet in which you didnt include on the reservation. We also take that serious because there is an extra cleaning routine involved when there is pets. After leaving the home the first day your wife returned the next day in the afternoon violating the property. It is very sad the great lengths a person will go through to destroy the value and integrity of a home and business. I definitely prefer morally honest guest. My best advice will be to make sure your wife approves of your next booking to prevent this from happening to another hardworking host.
