The Gannets is situated on a private road in a beautiful rural location in Osmington Mills. Within walking distance to scenic coastal walks and a short drive to Weymouth.
Internally the property has been refurbished and is finished to a high standard throughout. Externally the property boasts a ⅓-acre garden, complete with furniture and off-street parking for two cars.
The village of Osmington is set 5 miles east of Weymouth and 8 miles south east of Dorchester in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Osmington Mills is home to the start of The South Dorset Ridgeway. This follows an inland course through Osmington Village, climbing onto the Ridgeway above the famous White Horse. The White Horse is high on the hill overlooking Weymouth Bay and is a carving of King George III riding his favourite charger, Adonis. The figure was carved out of the hillside in 1808 in honour of the King Georges many visits.
Weymouth is within easy reach and boasts a bustling town full of shops, pubs and restaurants to enjoy. This area is popular with water sports enthusiasts and played host to a number of major sailing events in the 2012 Olympics.
