Location is perfect, the resort it is on is lovely and staff very friendly. It’s a great base for exploring the beautiful area. Beds very comfortable and the cabin is great value for money.
Had a great stay, the lodge was clean and well equipped and had everything we needed. Beautiful views and nice peaceful surroundings, despite being on a holiday park. The outside pool was an added bonus and was clean and a lovely temperature. The local pub, the smugglers inn was a 5 minute walk away and the food was great with a large outdoor area. Weymouth beach and sealife centre were only a 15 minute drive away and we would recommend Stacey's fish and chip shop, which is a 5 minute drive away in Preston. The hosts James and Lisa provided us with all the information we needed and responded quickly to any queries sent. The only negative I can think of is that the bay which is in walking distance wasn't very accessible and there was nowhere to sit when we got there but we may have just picked a high tide time. Not that It mattered with such beautiful coastline a short drive away. It was fantastic value for money and I would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.
Lovely property and beautiful views. We really enjoyed the accommodation, it was very comfortable and peaceful and we will definitely be booking again.
Another lovely stay here - lodge was clean and comfy as always - the site was so quiet and peaceful just what we needed - food in the country club was excellent and reasonably priced- would definitely recommend
Property was exactly as described and expected. We stayed during the TANKFEST in Bovington and it was the perfect escape. The space was more than enough for our family and dinners at Smugglers Inn and the property restaurant were wonderful.

Liked: Check-in
Disliked: Cleanliness, communication
Disappointed with lack of action and apology when I reported on arrival together with photos of underwear and a sock left next to the bed in the main bedroom, dirty bath and filthy windows. Just told cleaner is usually meticulous and on holiday and then ghosted. No apology.
My husband and his two friends had a lovely stay. They said the lodge was absolutely spotless and very well equipped. Clubhouse and local pub were nice and reasonably priced. Check in was easy and good communication from owners.
This property was lovelyand fulfilled all of our needs. Beautiful view, peaceful location and fabulous site with great facilities. Would definitely recommend
Lovely & peaceful accommodation in a
great location. Enjoyed the on site facilities, the Smugglers Inn was nice in walking distance.Durdle door was amazing plenty of places to visit. We would definitely stay again.
We just loved sitting on the deck in the sun with sea views to the left and rolling countryside to the right. The wander to the Smuggler's for a beautiful Sunday roast and a romp over the cliffs at Lulworth to Durdle Dor made for a lovely family break.
Basic and good value in a nice private country club with good facilities. Great base to explore Dorset and a 5 minute walk on a coastal path through a field to the coast and decent pub. The owners were helpful and easily contactable. We were caught out by the lack of towels but that's my own fault for not reading the blurb properly.
Lovely position with sea view and short walk to the Smugglers Inn. The lodge was clean, spacious and well equipped. We had a friendly, helpful reception at the Club and our toddler enjoyed the play area. We will definitely go back.
We arrived very late as our ferry into Poole was late but the security guard was excellent & made us feel very welcome. Good base for short break, had everything we needed, booked primarily to visit Tank Museum at Bovington but also to explore Dorset. Shame outdoor pool had so few time slots for booking - don't rely on being able to use it!
The owners were extremely communicative and helpful. Thank you Lisa. The chalet has wonderful views and being on the edge of the park it didn't feel at all cramped or overlooked by other chalets. Overall the property was very clean inside. Perhaps a little more attention could be given to the outside. I would still recommend it it to anyone.

About the host
Hosted by James and Lisa
James bought the lodge in 2006 having spent his childhood holidays in the area. We now love coming to Osmington Mills for our own family holidays and getaways, it is such a lovely, unspoily part of the south coast and there are great walks on the doorstep which all the family like.
