Gatlinburg Summitt - Top of the Mountain but close to town

Please read the information on our unit carefully!!

Come visit our remodeled unit. Queen bed on main level and full bed in loft bedroom that children love!

Our unit is on the 3rd floor and there is NO elevator. Please note if there are mobility issues. Please keep that in mind when booking.

Fully equipped kitchen.

Relax in outdoor pool during summer. The indoor pool and hot tub are now open in a brand new facility. Hope you enjoy it.

The Summitt condos are located in the Chalet Village area near the top of Ski Mountain and they offer panoramic mountain views. Be aware that bears often cross the roads so drive carefully. The road is winding and steep to get to the complex so be alert as you navigate them. We are located at the top of the mountain. Please realize this! Once you get to the complex there is plenty of parking

This resort is located high in the mountains but conveniently located to Ober Gatlinburg ( 1.5 miles ), downtown Gatlinburg (3 miles ), and the National Park Entrance. You will find plenty of activities for the whole family! Hiking, shopping, miniature golf, Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, and of course fine dining are awaiting you. Be sure to check out Pigeon Forge and Dollywood located only few miles away. Whether you curl up by the wood burning fireplace (wood available for purchase from office), or take in the sites around town, you will find yourself wanting to return time and time again!

There is an iron and ironing board for your use. Housekeeping supplies you with towels, linens ,(starter) roll of toilet paper, roll paper towels, soap, and a trash bag.

The resort provides you with a coin operated Laundromat that is located in the office building, a short walk away from the unit. The resort also has 2 gas grills (gas provided), along with 2 picnic tables, for your outdoor cooking and eating.

The Apartment was fantastic, provided everything we needed for our stay. The surrounding neighbors were respectful and the entire unit was peaceful along with a nice escape from the strip on 10 mins away. Would rent there again and suggest it to anybody looking for a great, inexpensive place to stay while visting the Smokies.

Perfect place to stay! Everything was clean and the owners were very nice. Kids loved that we had an indoor pool to swim in. I loved how far away it was from all the busy downtown strip yet close enough to go there . Also a great price , allowed our family to stay an extra few days.

We loved our stay! This was a great easy location from Gatlinburg, and the Smoky Mountain National Park. Being the first unit in the complex was super easy to find as well. The windy, steep roads weren’t an issue for us as we are used to driving in the mountains.

Illegal activity

Many of the guests were feeding a family of bears that stayed in that area. This is a major problem and a danger to all of your guests. I would hate to hear of someone’s child being killed because of this. They were being fed, crossing right at the pool area. A mother and two cubs could turn into someone’s worst nightmare please do something to deter this.

This was the first vacation my husband and myself has taken in 20 years. It was Very relaxing. We seen bears 2 days out of 3 . At around 8:30 pm and 7:40 am. Condo was very clean. Driving up the mountain was scary at first but not bad the second time. I would highly recommend staying here.

Drive not for those without experience with mountain driving

I can’t comment at all about the property as we never saw it. We had no experience with mountain driving and decided to abandon our rental because the roads were so steep, narrow and winding. Although it is mentioned in the listing unless you’re experienced with mountain driving it is pretty frightening. We couldn’t see the road over the hood of the car in a couple of spots and just didn’t feel safe trying to get all the way to the rental. The owner seems nice.

Nice stay!

The drive to the chalet is exactly as described, at the top of the mountain. My husband and I enjoyed the drive up, very scenic especially with all the snow! Perfect for a small family of four. The upstairs did get a bit stuffy I would recommend a fan for someone who gets warm often (my husband), I did not mind, I prefer it warm. Wonderful stay and Debra was super helpful and answered my calls/texts immediately. My husband is already planning out next trip! Wonderful stay.

The listing description is very accurate for this property. It is small (as mentioned), but was perfect for my son & I. The loft & spiral staircase were a unique feature that my son loved. Take heed to the owner’s warning of no elevator. As an overpacker, I felt the burn of the stairs! The property offers an “off the beaten path” experience and was a quiet, peaceful place to stay.

I enjoy the summit condos....

The property was decent and served it's purpose. I had hoped that there would be a view of the mountains from the patio, but not so lucky. I would suggest adding a pic from the balcony, so renters know what the view is. The view is a treeline behind the complex. There weren't any towels laid out for us and had to search for them. The shower head definitely needs replaced, as it was squirting water over the top rail. There seemed to be a beehive behind the outside balcony light. The bees were traveling in and out from behind the light during warmer temps. We were out and about sightseeing mostly and used the place for sleeping and getting ready. We still had a good trip.
