The first floor features three double bedrooms (two can also be converted into twin bedrooms, upon request) and two twin bedrooms (upon request, one convertible into double bedroom) each with bathroom (2 with tub, 3 with shower), a small sitting room with sofa-bed, another large living room also with fireplace, a kitchen and another two independent entrances accessed from outside staircases.
All furbishings have been carefully chosen, past guests appreciated the fact that it is not just a house to rent, it's a home, La Casetta di Castell'Anselmo is in fact indicated for happy family reunions.

Toscana at its most magnificent!

We enjoyed a one week stay at the most beautiful Toscana village with breathtaking scenery and pristine swimming pool. From the villa we visited local restaurants, that Federica, the hostess recommended. Absolutely amazing! Everything was an hour by car or less. We absolutely loved our stay at the villa, and thanks again to Federica for all her kind advise and recommendations.

A wonderful home

Such a lovely setting. Despite the proximity to Pisa and convenience for the airport, we felt off the beaten track with fabulous views all around, stunning woodland and fantastic nature. A real opportunity to slow down and savour life’s moments. The hosts were kind and helpful. For example bringing us a massive bag of home grown fresh tomatoes that tasted a million times better than anything you can buy in the shops. Priceless. We ate fresh figs from the trees every day. The space was big enough to accommodate my four daughters, their partners and my grandchildren. The pool was a decent length and I was able to get some good morning swims in. We would definitely go back. I left some shoes behind.....and I’m sure that this was a Freudian slip on my part. It was hard to leave, but will be impossible to forget. We’ve created some happy memories for our extended family in this welcoming place.

Far away from the madding crowd

We arrived as a family group, 4 generations, taking the whole of La Casetta. We found the space easy to divide between us, and the house was far more spacious generally than we had dared to hope. Federica and her family gave us a very warm welcome and we soon got settled. The pool was a delight, at 16 metres long, and really warm, which we hadn't expected to be the case without dedicated heating - turns out the mediterranean sun had worked its magic and it was perfect. We all spent many happy hours there, enjoying having it all to ourselves. What a treat! Although remote from the noise of traffic we found the location of the property very convenient for heading either inland or to the coast. We definitely appreciated the hire of the air conditioning units as we chose a very hot week for our stay. We would recommend this villa to others.

Heerlijke Toscaans villa voor de hele familie!

We verbleven 8 dagen in dit heerlijke landhuis, met 8 volwasssen en drie jonge kinderen. Het huis ligt op een heuvel net voor Castell' Anselmo en heeft aan alle zijdes een prachtig uitzicht over de glooiende Toscaanse heuvels en de lichtjes van Pisa. Het ruime zwembad ligt iets hoger en is perfect om 's ochtends baantjes te trekken of einde middag af te koelen. Het huis zelfs is al behoorlijk oud maar aantal jaar geleden grondig gerenoveerd. De vriendelijke eigenaresse Federica woont net achter het landhuis, het huis is familiebezit en de inrichting is erg authentiek. Wel hier en daar wat achterstallig onderhoud, maar dat hoort eigenlijk een beetje bij de leeftijd van de woning ;-) Het vliegveld van Pisa is binnen 30min te bereiken, het strand van Livorno idem en mooie Toscaanse dorpjes zoals Lari, Bolgheri en Voltarre maken mooie uitstapjes. Kortom, absoluut een aanrader wanneer je op zoek bent naar een heerlijk Toscaans landhuis voor de hele familie!

Eccellente da tutti i punti di vista

La prima piacevole sorpresa è stata la facilità con cui ci si arriva e la cura con cui è tenuto il breve tratto a sterrato: andare a fare acquisti è comodissimo (e non capita spesso in Toscana!). La casa è tranquilla, silenziosa, immersa tra gli ulivi e circondata da ampi spazi verdi e ha una bellissima vista sulla valle dell’Arno; abbiamo sempre pranzato e cenato sul grande tavolo all’aperto da cui si vedeva il panorama. All’interno poi la casa è comoda, spaziosa, luminosa, attrezzata di tutto: 4 adulti e 3 bambini piccoli avevano i loro spazi in completa tranquillità (straordinaria risorsa la saletta con televisore e videoregistratore!). Ci è stata segnalata anche un’eccellente babysitter che utilizzavamo per qualche ora al giorno. Per i bambini comunque la massima attrazione è stata la piscina: a pochi passi dalla casa, ma in posizione da non creare disturbo, ben sistemata con spazi sia al sole che all’ombra. Last, but not least, la padrona di casa è stata quanto mai ospitale, attenta ad ogni esigenza, disponibile in ogni momento e per qualsiasi problema. Insomma, siamo stati benissimo e abbiamo soltanto lodi e proprio nessuna critica da fare.

Райское место!

Не хватает описать это райское место, в котором я побывала...всё то, что я вкладывала в понятие "итальянский" я получила именно на этой вилле! Шикарный дизайн, свежайшие продукты,гостеприимство на высшем уровне, и, конечно, тосканские пейзажи. Удивительное место ещё и потому, что можешь наслаждаться единением с природой,а можешь легко добраться до Пизы, Флоренции и Лукка (кстати, очень милый городок). Отдельное спасибо Федерике, хозяйке этого дома, которая во многом сделала наш отдых незабываемым! Кстати, среди гостей были замечены многие известные люди, среди которых и удивительный дизайнер Ульяна Сергиенко... Мечтаю вернуться снова...Spero ci vediamo presto!

vero paradiso

Stupenda vacanzain questo piccolo paradiso, con la mia compagna abbiamo passato una settimana indimenticabile. La casa è molto bella e ben arredata, e risponde a tutti i requisiti mostrati nelle foto; ed in effetti merita anche molto di più di ciò che è visibile dalle foto sul sito, perché la tranquillità, data dalla posizione a ridosso di un tipico borgo toscano e la vista dal colle sono indescrivibili e straordinari. La proprietaria federica ci ha dato tutte le indicazioni possibili, accompagnandoci anche durante le nostre esplorazioni, si è a due passi da tutte le destinazioni.di maggior interesse.assolutamente consigliata.

Very nice stay at LA CASETTA

We rent the whole house for one week and we spent a wonderful time. We were four couples with four children. The house is very confortable, all equiped and very big. A large and nice swimming pool with a nice view on the tuscan landscapes. Very safe for children, very quiet to rest and near the main places to visit (Pisa, Lucca, sea side...). Thank you to Federica for her kindness and efficiency.

This used to be my family's country house, in 2004 we started refurbishing and I enjoyed it. Having a passion for gardening I also choose all the plants for the garden, favouring those indicated for the Mediterranean weather. In 2012 I decided to resign from a good job in Rome and moved to live in the Tuscan countryside, the place I always loved: surrounded by nature and near the sea. I love travelling all over so I am often abroad, while around I enjoy assisting with suggestions or reservations, when requested.

Quite a few past guests called their stay "an unforgettable holiday" as the property mixes a combination of nature and comforts, the atmosphere is relaxing, the location is convenient to visit art cities and the coast.

What makes this property unique

Not because it's my family's home but the location is quite charming and strategic: beautiful countryside, near the seaside, conveniently located about 20 minutes from Pisa's International airport, close to unique art cities such as Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Volterra.
