This luxury property has been renovated in 2019 to an exceptional standard, providing a unique, quirky holiday home which provides an array of individual features and home from home luxuries. Your attention will be drawn to the high specification of fixtures, fittings and individual features in its design. Despite having open plan living which runs right through the kitchen, living and dining areas, this fashionable apartment offers without doubt a very calm, enchanting and cosy atmosphere. This spacious apartment, which is set across one floor, has floods of light beaming through the windows on the Royal Crescent elevation and benefits from a peaceful, tranquil location. After exploring Whitby and the local area, you will find no better place to relax and unwind than in this quality retreat.

The property can be accessed from the Royal Crescent via a small set of steps down to the front door, but also offers alternative level access to the rear of the property adjacent to the parking bay, which is available on a first come basis.

From this enviable position along the West Cliff, you have all the amenities close by, including an array of shops, pubs, restaurants and of course the sandy beach. Whitby has something for all age groups and is popular all year round. The infamous Whitby Abbey stands proud on the headland, said to be the inspiration to Bram Stoker’s ’Dracula’. Take the 199 steps up to the abbey, and explore the cobbled streets full of interesting independent shops and art galleries. From Whitby you can catch the North York Moors Steam Railway along to the market town of Pickering, or stop off at Goathland, home to the fictional village ’Aidensfield’ in the popular TV programme ’Heartbeat’. Sandsend, Robin Hood’s Bay, Staithes and Scarborough are all a short drive from the apartment, plus you have the added benefit of the North York Moors National Park with all its wonderful trails through woodland and along coastline. Very well presented apartment in a perfect location.

Very well presented apartment in a perfect location. Easy walk into Whitby or on to the beach or promenade for a lovely run. Comfortable beds, well equipped and very clean. Perfect for a couple but tight for four, especially the dining room and lounge. Lots of personal touches. Kitchen a bit short of work space but we didn't do any cooking anyway so it didn't matter. Dog friendly. Steep steps to the front door so not suitable for the infirm. Parking was a bit difficult to find but useful with access to the apartment from the rear. Definitely somewhere we would stay at again.

A fantastic holiday apartment. Everything you need, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen including washer and dryer. Lovely shower and great quirky decorations. We thought the situation of the apartment was great just down some steps and you are in the Main Street but if you have mobility issues it may not be suitable. We had a lovely holiday it had everything we desired and we would definitely recommend the apartment and stay again.

Amazing basement flat in a great location. Well decorated and extremely comfortable. Our only minor gripe was that the bedding smelt a tad fusty (as if it hadn't been fully dried) and the sink in the bathroom stinks (it would only take a 10 minute job to clean it out as the trap is easily accessible). If these minor things were sorted we would have scored a 10.

First time we’d stayed here, but we stay every year in Whitby. Can’t recommend this apartment enough!! On photos it looks amazing but it’s even better when you see it for real! We never eat in, but there’s a fully equipped kitchen if you needed. Really comfy choice of seating in the living room. Really comfy beds and not only wardrobe space, but coat hangers too!! (We’ve stayed in places where we’ve had neither!!) Beautiful big shower with enough hot water for four women!! The steep steps to the front door weren’t an issue since we always used the back. Hope to stay here again, only reason we wouldn’t is if there’s more than four of us!!

Fantastic hosts, with clear information about apartment and location being sent well in advance. Very accommodating about our early arrival and ensured we had a great 3 nights stay. The location is ideal for buses, walking along the coast and pottering around Whitby. Great stay. Thank you.

When searching for our cottage we looked at luxury properties and chose this one as it appeared lovely in the pictures .when we arrived the property it was tastefully designed &decorated and I felt like we were in our friends house .Its a lot more spacious than the pictures show. However I was really disappointed with the lack of facilities ,with tv not working,we don’t drink so nothing to do of an evening . Normally there’s games we’re family spend quality time. The manual needs to be more user friendly, wrong passwords for WiFi, It would be great for people who don’t know the area to be given basic directions or a map of the area To local amenities. Basic TV that didn’t work ,Basic ironing board,that was so flimsy when setting up, grazed my leg, I found the oven and shower a night-mare as no instructions, you just get told to read manuals .I forgot the dogs bowl, And was hoping one would be provided as it caters for dogs. No juicer, or steamer just a basic pan set with plastic utilities.When booking luxury accommodation, that should include the things inside the cupboard. I understand the owners are new to this , and I advised them to get a book to people can share there holiday tips, I don’t want to appear negatively, but our holiday was cut short . The property was clean and had lovely fluffy towels, however blinds need to be cleaned more regular especially the bathroom.

We recently made a last minute booking to stay at Royal Crescent over Easter.

We recently made a last minute booking to stay at Royal Crescent over Easter. The apartment looked lovely in the photographs but I can honestly say that they did not do it justice. It was far more spacious and luxurious than I expected, fantastically equipped and spotlessly clean, there is a large TV in the lounge which isn't clear on the photos. The overall design is very boutique hotel with lots of interesting design features and decor. The owners contacted us directly after we made our booking and couldn't have been more helpful. We parked easily at the rear of the property and didn't need our car again until we left as it is ideally situated within walking distance of the harbour and amenities. The sea/cliff tops are visible as you leave the front of the apartment, approx 20 metres away. We arrived to a comprehensive welcome pack including bread, milk, wine, chocolates etc and we were surprised to find towels included. This is definitely a superior holiday rental and I would highly recommend it.

The Royal Crescent is a beautiful piece of architecture in a quiet spot in Whitby but a short walk to the centre of Whitby. Lovely views over the bay and harbour just outside the apartment. The owners of the apartment were really helpful and messaged me with details in plenty of time before the holiday. Surprisingly spacious better than the photos.Lovely decor and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Clean with an easy kitchen to work in. We made lots of tasty family meals. As we had a baby with a buggy easy access at the rear of the property with parking. Highly recommended and will definitely stay there again.
