Set on 5,000 square meters of stunning Bali beachfront, Bougain Villa offers five comfortable bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Spend lazy hours relaxing in our varied outdoor living spaces and lush tropical gardens, while gazing at the ocean and fantastic views over the beach to Nusa Penida in the distance. Take a refreshing dip in the pool before enjoying a cocktail or perhaps indulge in a Balinese massage in the cool shade of the garden, before enjoying a delicious meal cooked by our resident chef. Enjoy the nighttime tranquility and starlit skies before falling asleep to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore.

Bougain Villa is situated on a lively Balinese beach, with local boats, people, activities and ceremonies and a wonderful traditional Bali atmosphere. The villa is also conveniently located just under an hour from the airport and a 30-minute drive from the cultural attractions of Ubud, the golf course and 5-kilometer-long sandy beach of Sanur and the diving and snorkeling at Padang Bai and Candidasa, making it the perfect location to discover and explore all that Bali has to offer.

Bougain Villa is situated in a traditional little Balinese village called Tegel Besar. Although no bars, restaurants or shops are within walking distance, the villa comes complete with a car and driver, making trips to nearby dining venues extremely easy. Most of our guests actually choose to dine at the villa as our dedicated chef provides restaurant quality meals for a fraction of the price, all enjoyed in the serene and tranquil comfort of the villa.

Bougain Villa is a very special place with a relaxing and unique atmosphere which truly feels like home. This is undoubtedly due to the love and care the owners have for their villa and the wonderful personal touch and service of the villa staff.

Our stay at the villa was absolutely stunning. The house itself is excellent. The pool is just amazing. What made our stay very special is the stuff that works at the villa. Very personal and professional at the same time which is a rare find nowadays. The villa is located in the area which is not very touristic. Walking through the real Bali village is a real treat. it is very authentic. No money can buy this experience. Can't thank enough all the people at the Villa who made our vacation unforgettable.

The best VRBO ever

We decided to meet up with our son's family who live in Japan as we have been denied visiting them for over 2 years in Japan. Bali seemed to be a good choice. Of many villas available we decided on Bougain due to the beach, large kid's pool and proximity to Ubud. It was difficult getting info back from the property manager but once we booked it was perfect. The house, pool, beach and gardens were so beautiful. But the most amazing part was the staff. Wayan is the ultimate house manager and concierge. The chef prepared amazing Bali dishes. The entire staff was so accommodating and friendly leaving nothing unattended. They are so endearing that we felt like family before the week ended. A perfect place for our family week of R&R and exploring Bali.

Family Vacation

Very nice and spacious property, well maintained garden and pool. Perfect for family or large group. The garden pond at the entrance of the house is very dirty, manager said it was under preparation for creating a water garden, but should be cleaned of all the algae and black piles that look like seaweeds before guests arrive. It is sad having to pass this each time we enter the beautiful house. The staff are so friendly, although not always easy to find. Dita and Yasa the manager, are very accommodating.The staff tend to stay in the staff's quarter in the corner of the house. We are not sure if this was instructed to mintain privacy for the guests. You need to peek into their quarter and call when you need them except when they prepare the table for meal time or when the cleaning staff does the sweeping. Having the cook is so fantastic. Our family had a wonderful time, definitely will recommend others.

Breath taking!!

We had a wonderful and memorable stay. Several generations of our family got together during the holidays and celebrating a few occasions birthday, wedding anniversary. The villa had wonderful amenities. The pool was refreshing and the grounds were kept in immaculate condition. The AV room was a great family hangout a place to talk, watch movies on big screen TV, playing mancala. Good memories made by the poolside just feeling the sea breeze while playing billiards. The views were breathtaking! The villas staff were outstanding!! From Mr. Yasa, the manager iwho was always been helpful in many different ways (even on last minute requests 😊)The staff goes out of their way to help. We have several of our meals prepared at the Villa by Mr. Made and they were delicious and can rival any high-end restaurant. We felt really safe as we had security guards. The wonderful ladies made sure we had all we need. They help provide an excellent and knowledgeable driver Mr. Agung. We highly recommend this villa!! Hope to go back again someday! We thank you

We are Rene and Tom Springall, and we own Secluded Bali Villas. As itinerant expats, we had nowhere to call home, but we both loved Bali and after several trips here over the years in 2004 we decided to buy our own villa in Candidasa and named it after our daughter (Villa Talia Vashti).

Initially we just used our villa for family & friends, but we invested a lot of time training the staff to provide our expected high level of service. In 2006 we decided tentatively to offer our wonderful villa to others, and were amazed at the response – loads of people came and stayed and loved our little villa – it was a total revelation to us.

So in 2013 we set up Secluded Bali Villas, and also Kid Friendly Villas, to provide villas in Bali especially for families with kids and now own and manage 20 villas in Bali.

Bougain Villa is not one of our own villas, but is owned by our friends Kurt and Mira and is a lovely villa, with loads of space and a lovely feel to it and next time we have a big family gathering our intention is to stay here.

Why they chose this property

This an ideal villa for gatherings of family and friends, who just want to spend time with each other. There is lots of space for the kids to run around, or to find a quiet place, but with a great chef, many guests just never leave the villa, or if they do, they just take the included car and driver and head to one of the many eating options within 15 minutes just a little along the coast.

What makes this property unique

With the amazing staff taking care of you, lounging next to the pool or taking in sunset in the beautiful gardens all with the soundtrack of the waves lapping the shore, it really is an incredible villa!
