Charming Converted Barn with Private Heated Pool
Our charming spacious barn offers four double bedrooms, three bathrooms, two lounges and a kitchen diner. La Grange oozes character with exposed beams, high ceilings log burner and stone walls.
Set in extensive grounds boasting a heated pool, there are sun beds and parasols on the surrounding tiled patio. There are garden games for all the family and table football to enjoy inside.
Our pleasant village Aulnay, offers a twice weekly market, boulangerie and patisserie, post office, banks and a couple of bars with restaurant on the outskirts for lunch, dinner or coffee. Aulnay is a short drive or an enjoyable walk/cycle across the sunflower fields. The Intermarché is open all week and on a Sunday morning. It stocks everything from fresh bread, meat and vegetables to electrical goods and sun cream! The adjoining petrol station is available 24/7.
The coast is just an hour away and the lively vibrant towns of Saintes, St Jean D’Angely and La Rochelle are within driving distance. The delightful islands ile de Re and île D’Oleron also offer great days out for everyone.

We are Alison and Kevin from the South of England. We enjoy travelling, golf, pottering in our garden and looking after our home.
After visiting the West Coast of France in 2015, we had a dream of owning our own home there. The family continued to holiday in the area for the next 8 years. We wanted the classic 3 beds, 2 bathroom, near to a village! It took us a good year with several visits and numerous house viewings to decide on Les Granges aux Cerfs.
We love staying at our home in Aulnay and enjoy exploring the surrounding countryside, towns and villages.
Family and friends have now also enjoyed the experience so we wish to share our house with others.

Aulnay is just an hour from the coast, we love all the beaches accessible to us. From rolling waves to calm shallow waters, something for everyone.
Whilst being in a rural location with fields and woods, we are still in walking distance to the town centre. Aulnay has a fabulous supermarket for all the holiday essentials. There are 2 bars and a pub on the outskirts of the village square. Sunday market is a pleasure to peruse and take a drink in one of the bars. There are guided cycle routes around the area and you can of course run or walk these!

What makes this property unique
Our traditional stone home has been lovingly decorated and furnished with old and new items to make the home welcoming and unique. We have named the bedrooms and they are decorated in a slight theme!
We have double glazing throughout which helps in both the winter and summer too.
A large mezzanine makes it perfect for families.
The terrace stands proud of the fabulous heated pool with the large dining table seating 8 comfortably with a sofa corner for perfect evening drinks.
