Erw Wen (meaning White Acres) is a short walk to either Broad Beach, Town Beach or Maelog Lake. Whilst the bungalow is situated in a peaceful spot in Rhosneigr, you are very close to the beaches, shops and restaurants. Erw Wen has full central heating, an open fire in the lounge and unlimited hot water -
it is very cosy. Rhosneigr is famed for its water sports whether it’s sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing, kayaking or fishing with tuition available if you are a beginner or looking to refine your technique. But there is so much more and this house is the perfect base to make the most of everything there is to offer in Rhosneigr and in the surrounding area. A short walk down Chelford Close brings you to the edge of the sand dunes and to a safe sandy beach perfect for games with the children or walking the dog. There is also an 18 hole golf course, bowling green and tennis court close-by, or you can walk to the village and enjoy the shops (general stores, Gecko, Fat Face, Fun Sport) cafes, bars and restaurants or you can just relax in the secluded garden. Erw Wen has been carefully refurbished and has a modern open plan kitchen, living and dining area and has been carefully designed and furnished to make it the perfect place for family and friends to get together and enjoy every moment of a seaside holiday. The interior of the house is practical and comfortable with every modern appliance to make your holiday as relaxing as possible. The floor to ceiling windows in the main living area provide lovely views to the decked patio area and into the large lawned garden – perfect for small children and dogs. Patio table and chairs are provided, so you can enjoy the large, secluded garden. The kitchen features an electric oven with microwave, ceramic hob, large fridge freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. There is a separate lounge, which has two comfy sofas set around an open fire, with Smart TV and DVD player. The main bathroom has a bath, shower over the bath, washbasin & toilet. There is also a shower room with a walk in shower and toilet and there is an outside shower to rinse off the sand. There are two double bedrooms with double beds and the third has full size bunk beds. All bedrooms have wardrobes and chest of drawers. There is gas central heating, which means that you can enjoy Erw Wen all year round. Constant hot water is always available.

The property was perfect, as described. Garden was perfect for our dog, as was the proximity to two dog friendly beaches and village. My wife really enjoyed the RAF valley viewing point watching the daily training. We’ll certainly be back.

Lovely spacious bungalow, spotlessly clean, very well equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay and close to all amenities. There is a beautiful enclosed garden with table and chairs. We had a perfect stay and will hopefully be back soon.

Wonderful stay in a lovely part of Wales

The photos of this property don’t quite do it justice it surpassed our expectations and was the perfect base for exploring this part of Anglesey! Highly recommend especially for those with dogs. Nothing was missing and would return.

Beautiful, comfortable house, we had the best time. We all commented on how well equipped the house was, and there was an air of generosity with the chocolate biscuits on arrival, pint of milk for that all important first cuppa and fully stocked tea/coffee and sugar jars. Little touches like this make you feel most welcome. Loved the rainfall shower too. Location wise the house was fantastic, very short walk to the beach and village. We loved it. Thanks for having us X

Fabulous Break

We are not sure what we can say about this property and the location. Absolutely fabulous. We don't think we have stayed in such a lovely well-equipped property. It had everything you could wish for and more. We have previously stayed in the cottage directly opposite and therefore know all about the location on the edge of brilliant beaches and this property just made our stay a wonderful experience. Thank you Elaine, we will definitely look to stay here again in the future.

Lovely place to stay in Anglesey

The owner allowed us to get into the property early because the housekeeper had finished early which we very much appreciated. The kitchen and dining space are really lovely and we spent most of our time when we were not out in there. The furnishings and decor are a bit dated throughout the rest of the house and the beds are only doubles so if you are used to a king size it takes a bit of getting used to! The garden is lovely and the property is within easy walking distance of the sea beach and the Oystercatcher pub/restaurant which is fantastic We had a great Sunday lunch there and it is dog friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place

Lovely Cottage in a beautiful place

We stayed at the cottage for just under a week beginning of October. The Cottage is lovely, easy to find , ample parking, very well equipped with everything you could need during your holiday stay on Anglesey. Elaine made us feel very welcome - she had a little hamper ready for our arrival with Tea, Coffee, Milk, Biscuits and even the fireplace was ready to use filled with logs. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms nice and modern. The Lounge had a TV with Freeview, plenty of DVDs to watch should the weather be not so nice. We only made breakfast at the Cottage and went out for the day, also eating out in several lovely locations. We would certainly recommend this cottage to anyone especially families wanting to stay in or around Rhosneigr . Again, thanks for having us Elaine, we had a lovely time, Jutta & John x

Lovely bungalow in super location. Everything you need and more. Unfortunately let down a bit by cleanliness issues. Dog poo in garden.However would return in a heartbeat!!

Our family consists of myself, my husband Kevin and our 2 children Anthony and Maisy who are 24 and 20. We also have 3 dogs, Dexter, Elsie & Poppy.

Why they chose this property

We bought Erw Wen as we have visited Rhosneigr many times to walk on the beach and go body boarding in the waves. We loved the village, it has lots to do and plenty of different places to eat and everyone is so friendly - so when we decided to buy a holiday home, it was the obvious choice. We looked at several houses in Rhosneigr before visiting Erw Wen - even as we walked up the drive, we both said that this was the one! It was close to the beach (close enough to walk down in your wet suit!) and close enough to the village, that my 11 year old (at the time) could go to the shops to get an ice cream by herself.

Anglesey has so many great places to visit, that we still haven't seen everything yet.

What makes this property unique

Erw Wen is in a great location - peaceful even at the height of summer yet close to the beach and shops. The back garden is very secluded and it's lovely to sit on the deck and just relax with a drink & a good book and if the weather is not so good, then you can sit round the table in the kitchen/dining area & socialise, play cards and games.
